So now we're throwing Carter under the bus? Not sure I understand. From the look of things, the guy was playing very well and I thought he was a key part of our improved defensive performance early on. And the guy got injured on a hustle play and now he's in the dog house.

I don't feel as I have thrown him under the bus I do think if he wants more playing time then he needs to be out there making the plays. In the last 2 games he has not done much and his injury which was the same type of injury Durant suffered did not slow up Durant. If Carter is going to be out on the field he needs to be making plays if he is too hurt to do it then he needs to sit. What he does not need to do it question why he is not getting as many snaps and the answer is simple you’re not making the plays that you need to be making. Myself I like Carter but it comes down to being productive when you are on the field last 2 weeks he hasn’t

I dunno what the tape said about his performance, but I do know that Ro McClain has had a couple of off games. I think it's the conditioning, though.

His comment "I'm just going with the program" doesn't wreak of enthusiasm for the game/team. Maybe I'm not understanding the full context of that comment, but that doesn't sound like someone that's trying to do his best.

True.

Bringing an "on-IR" Durant to London tells me the Cowboys would like to have him back next season.

At this juncture I could see the LB corps next season being:

Durant
Lee
McClain
Wilber
Hitchens
"Rookie"

I think you're probably dead-on with that.

Yeah, it doesn't seem to make any sense - I'm not a big fan of the guy personally, but he really seemed to be playing really well again pre-injury and I'm not sure what could be more important at this point than getting him back to form. If he was phsiciaclly limited by his injury rather than just trying to get back into football shape/speed - I don't think that he'd be clamoring for more time.

I thought they were working him in slow. Well......I would think you'd like to hear about him being frustrated with his lack of snaps. You don't want him content with it.

Fans are just panicking and being emotional to a 2 game losing streak. Claiborne is injured so they need other players to pile up on.

How can anybody count on Lee next season is beyond my comprehension.

JMO, but I don't buy into Lee being certain of injury in the future. I understand those that say "you can't count on him", but his injuries have been of various types...not just one thing such as a hamstring/groin, etc. Lee is extremely diligent in his work ethic and if anyone can come back from an injury, I'm putting my money on him. Now he may get injured again next year, who knows? I just don't think it's predestined. If it happens, it'll be because of terrible luck, nothing else. If he stays healthy, that's a tremendous boost to this D.

Whether it is bad luck, bad genes or anything else. Lee half not shown conistency and a ability to stay healthy. Further, there has been treemendous hype over him that half not translated into great play.
At some point he half to live up to his draft pick status. And the Cowboys will not/should not wait further for this brittle (yes, he is brittle) player.

Neither you nor I know that for sure. Only time will tell, my friend.

Probably that isn't debateable.
Probably that isn't debateable either.
Next year will be year 6 for him and his rook contract got extended. That probably qualifies as a career.

To have a career do you also have to actually play in the games ? His contracts have been annuities. Great player but you have to get on the field, and play in the games methinks.

Don't care what has been said and if he had a good game today, the guy takes off a ton of plays and can't play on the outside. We have McClain and Lee and the best word to give for this guy is expendable.
