We went 10-6 in Carter's last season.
Sign Fitzpatrick for a 2-year $30M (total) contract.Like some have said here and elsewhere, we are stuck with #4. Unless somebody has a really good QB in their back pocket we can use for a year or two.
Perhaps they need to consider going back to what worked his rookie season..........
I wouldn’t take Opie for vet minimum. He sucks!
There is no qb that is even close in commercials to Dak. All I see Rodgers and Mahome in is the all state commercials. I never see Brady in any commercials. Lamar Jackson?? He doesnt have the look to get any commercials, even though he is about to be the MVP of the league. If I am the Jones', I put those commercialsONLY because he is the QB of the Cowboys right in front of his face and wave that with might. He wants to try and screw the Cowboys into a max deal.... yeah, walk buddy, and see how quick your outside venues dry up.That last line is spot on.
With Dak's level of talent, there isn't another team in football where he'd be getting the air time he's getting now
For Pete's sake he's on TV shilling products more than any QB in the league probably including Rodgers and Mahomes. More than even Brady. Chunky soup. Yogurt. Mattresses. Etc. It's ridiculous
And PS Cincy is the one team I think would be stupid enough to try and build a franchise around this guy.
Other than us, that is

I don’t care about commercials. I don’t want Andy Dalton taking snaps for this team. He is terribleThere is no qb that is even close in commercials to Dak. At least a rookie QB would be at rookie QB $$, so the war chest could be saved up for down the road or be spent on a Lexus-quality defense. And furthermore, there is no guarantee that a high pedigree college QB plans out either.
I'm not advocating paying the guy 40 million but this isn't an easy decision by any means.

.
He has improved each year..in spite of jerry and the coaching.
Okay, give him $40M ...he'd jump at that after only making $5.5M ...and he'd be on a team that would make him an instant commercial property, so tag on another $10-12MId take Fitz..... but no way he signs a deal to be a starter and only gets 15 million per year.
YUP..he has imperfections. But I would take him anyday over many other QB's in the league. He's a winner and a leader. He won 13 games his rookie year, THAT HAPPENED.No. He hasn't
Footwork, mechanics, vision, and accuracy are all still noticeably problematic on a regular basis
I guess all of those passes behind our receivers and over their heads were missed on you this year. If you think Dak is not part of our problem.... I am not sure what you were watching this year. You think he was good against the Jets and Bears and Eagles ? I could say that about almost each game we lost.I don’t care about commercials. I don’t want Andy Dalton taking snaps for this team. If you want to get rid of Dak, fine. Can you at least bring someone in who is better? Andy Dalton sucks balls. You might as well light that $70 million you want to give him on fire. But hey, we will probably get a top 10 pick with that trash playing QB .I guess all of those passes behind our receivers and over their heads were missed on you this year. No, he's a total imposter of a QB and all Jerry is doing is expanding his mistake when he let Romo walk for this bozo!
The people that use that it’s hard to find another qb rhetoric think Dak is some real good qb and or they are risk averse. He should be done like his football daddy Alex Smith and we should draft a replacement in the first esp if we don’t have to give up too much to do so. Maybe one will sit to our pick but I doubt thatAnd that's the issue with Dak!
He couldn't get it done with this team, what makes you think he will get it done with a lesser team?
Byron Jones is gone..
Quinn is gone..
And other starters on defense will be gone within the next couple years..
With Dak taking up so much cap, you won't be able to sign top defensive players.
If Dak can't get it done with this defense, what makes you think he will with a bottom feeder defense?
And stop it with the Quincy Carter/ Chad Hutchinson crap..
The reason we didn't find a QB was because jerry kept hoping a scrub/project would pan out instead of just straight up drafting a blue chip QB..
The Eagles liked a QB and went and got him (wentz)
The Chiefs drafted Mahomes despite already having Smith on the roster..
Why can't we do the same?
No. He hasn't

Y’all need to really separate this bs try hard attitude. He’s average at best but y’all worried about his sounds goods press conferences smh. This isn’t dating its football and he’s average at best as a qb. Most of the players have a try hard attitude but you don’t hear from them like the qb so you’re blinded smh.Is Dak the greatest, no but I do love the kids try hard attitude. Right team we definitely can win a SB with him. Let’s start with a Championship defense.
You sound more like the undercover Philly fan. Those stats don't carry over to championships.lol okay undercover Philly fan.
How about 5,000 yards and 30 TDs worth of accuracy and footwork.
