I dont think tony is that good of a talker to do that sort of work. I could be wrong, he might be ok at it.
but just watching pressers and interviews, he isnt all that good.
But hey if they offer and he wants to try it, go for it. it would be easy money.

I too think tony wants to play another season at least.

Have you seen him speak?

I believe it was NFL network or maybe espn...they were at the Cowboys training camp last year and the announces set there in aw watching him analyze the game.

These networks don't try to hire every player for announcing gigs, especially cbs and fox. Tony is an obvious candidate. He loves talking about the game and he has the look for it.

Being a former Cowboys quarterback helps as well, ask Troy.

lol. Tony has a heck of an agent. I heard Trump wants him as his next running mate!

At this point, I don't think it's unbelievable.

He's a backup quarterback with little trade interest. He would get some calls if he hits the market but does he want to relocate and spend even more time away from his kids? He just bought a new house, he has a new kid on the way. I guarantee he has thought about life after football.

Well deion and many of these ex players are not very good, most have a ring though, so they give them jobs.
I dont really care to listen to most of them.
Shannon sharp was great player, but I cant listen to him more than 10 seconds.
I am curious to know if Tony has the personality for TV work. He really doesn't seem the type to get in front of a camera and smooze all the time. He seems too solid and quiet for that business. On the other hand Troy does good work and is a solid type.

We are talking about sports shows that hire the likes of Shaq, Barkley, Killah Ray Lewis and Randy Moss ferchrisakes. Tony can't be worse.

Rather see him play for a contender and bring them home to the promised land. That would be the ultimate Middle Finger to the rest of of the freaking league that he is and always has been a Champion level QB that was always saddled with crappy defenses or ol's that were falling apart or being rebuilt. I would love to see it, great way for the story of Tony Romo FA QB to end.

Have you seen some of the guys making a living on TV? Tony would/will be fine if/when he goes that route.

I agree in that I think he still wants to play.

Tony Romo wouldn't add one viewer to a TV broadcast.....he is pretty much a joke outside of DAL..... I'm sure CBS is just worried sick about signing a guy that absolutely no experience for their AFC games

Tony wants to play, Denver and Houston are both interested, I suspect he ends up on one of those teams, those broadcast jobs will be there in 2 years...

yes but troy didnt go straight to major network show, he started in radio to get experience in calling games.
It would depend on what he winds up doing.

Yeah, its funny to me that some don't realize how funny the guy is without even trying to be funny.

Announcing is there for him this year or next, so it probably doesn't matter to him at this point really.

I would much rather listen to Tony during a game than Troy.....and its not even close.

It's really hard to say how he'd do in this situation, though. He's well spoken and witty, but it is a totally different skill to be able to talk endlessly for hours on end and make it somewhat entertaining.

FOX broadcasts>>>>>>CBS (or any others)

CBS is virtually unwatchable for me, mostly because I dislike the AFC so much, but when Simms has a "big" game, I cringe a little....I hope Tony doesn't go to CBS...but, he isn't taking over the #1 (Aikman) or #2 (Moose) spot at Fox....
