Jerry and his son are the only two idiots that believe the Eagles did it wrong.

Nolan Carroll in 2024They do this every year. They know they won't do dick in FA so as soon as the season ends, he and his doofus son start making the media rounds and talk about the right way to build, why their players still under contract are good and don't need replacing (Elliott, cough, cough). They are basically telling you they ain't gonna change a lick. Expect bargain bin crap in FA again, hoping they find more Kearse's than Carroll's, and the promise they will dazzle us in the draft filling all our needs and it will make Dak better, the team will be better, etc.
We'll repeat this exercise in Jan/Feb 2024.
Here’s an exact quote of our fearless leader straight from the article:I mean it's not surprising there is an article like this out there. What Jerry said was dumb. Many of the points in this article were made by posters here.

And Jerry loves it. Does he realize why he’s popular? Train wrecks are always interesting.Jerry is the lowest hanging fruit for all sports media. Is it any surprise that Jerry's comments get more attention than both Super Bowl teams combined??
All you needed to say. What Jerry said was dumb.
My God. You are insufferable. Many here knew the Eagles were bound for a very good to great year after the draft. Its complete homerism to say they werent after how they ATTACKED the off-season.Ultimately, the Eagles did it way better than the Rams did it. They will be judged on how they are able to a) finish this season. Super Bowl W and they were absolutely correct. Loss and then go lose a bunch of key players because they can't afford them....nice try but fail.
No one could have predicted they would have a golden ticket into the super bowl like they got. I doubt anyone would argue that if we faced the DJ and Practice Squad weapons of the Gmen at home we would win that game and if we then were to face the literally unable to throw 49ers...we would have won that game too.
Kudos for them but it really comes down the the Super Bowl and what happens this offseason as to whether they are right or not.
Long term is a bold strategy for an 80 year old."Long term" is a cop-out of answering any real questions, Jerry knows it. What else can he say at this point.
28 years is long term lol.
I wonder if the media checks this site for ideas ?This is exactly what we’ve been saying. The honest truth about the situation.

Just sayin!
Explains why Jerry loved Garrett, and kept him here way too long....Here’s an exact quote of our fearless leader straight from the article:
”We have been in the middle here for a few years, but I like where we are right now, more in the middle.”
Believe him when he says, “I like where we are right now.” It completely explains the last 28 seasons. And why two of our division rivals have been to 5 Super Bowls since our last divisional playoff win.
Oh they have done better, obviously. They were already basically proven right. They made two SBs 5 years apart in which they tore down basically the 2017 team and rebuilt quickly and still have a lot of draft fire power over the next two years. The whining over who they played is weird because they rebuilt a roster strong enough to go out there and win more games than anyone and get themselves that #1 seed and easier path to the SB. They were better than us and everyone else in the NFC over the full season. Their reward was an easier path than other teams. Maybe if Jerry and his dopey son employed some of the stuff the Eagles do in roster building, we would have won the #1 seed and had that easy path.
You really struggle with admitting reality here. They have done a significant better job at roster building/management than we have over the last 5-6 seasons.
3 straight SBs indicate that teams very very active in FA have done better than teams who were passiveUltimately, the Eagles did it way better than the Rams did it. 28 years and counting. The approach can't get more long-term than 27 years
Oh they have done better, obviously.
There method is better than the Rams but they will have their challenges, as I pointed out.
I can virtually guarantee we will win 12 again next year. I can't say that about them next year. Maybe they will but they have a lot in the air.
Every team is going to have challenges at some point. It's impossible for any NFL team that wins to do it perfectly and have zero cap problems forever and hit on all their picks and always pick the right FAs.Oh they have done better, obviously.
