We beat the 0-5 winless Chiefs. I was tickled pink when Austin took that Romo pass to the house in OT. Then, on the way home, reality set in. We barely eeked one out against the hapless Chiefs. I'll take it! Most definitely. Going into the Bye at 3-2 feels so much better.

Tashard Choice is a BEAST. This guy goes out every time and just gets it done. While I was sitting there today a Miami Hurricane fan tapped me on the shoulder and said "man you guys did good getting him. I used to hate that guy. He ran all over us in college". If Red knows what's good he will come out of the bye week with Choice starting, MB3 pulling 3rd down and red zone duty, & Felix assuming more of a Reggie Bush type role. You can never put your finger on a situation and say with confidence that you know Reggie won't be getting the ball. That's what Felix should be fore us. KR, PR, Slot, WR, TB... It should all be open game for Felix. Choice at starting RB will provide stability in the backfield.

RW11... Mile Austin just did what you have not been able to do all year. He connected with Romo all game long. Sure, he dropped a couple of passes that made me cringe. However, he more than made up for them with a game in which he had the accelerator pegged to the floor all game long. I don't care how they do it. Get Austin on the field. I was very disappointed with Crayton's effort today. Crayton has great hands but lacks heart. Austin has ok hands but has a heart that barely fit inside the confines of Arrowhead Stadium. I'll take the big heart every single game. Wow. What an effort.

Romo... Dude. This is what I like to see from you! Take advantage of what they give you. It's amazing how well things can go when you don't force it into triple coverage. Give your WRs a chance and more often than not they'll come through for you. Heckuva game management job by Romo today. This is definitely something to build upon.

Wade is clearly not in control of this team. How many false starts and offsides penalties have to happen as Wade watches with folded arms and a look of mass confusion to tell the tale? This team is going through the motions in practice. The attention to detail.. Making players accountable for small missteps... I firmly believe it's not there. There's a difference between coming out after halftime and telling a reporter "I hope they play harder" and telling that same reporter "they will play harder". You have to exude that which you desire to see from your team. Wade is incapable of doing so.

Perspective? Yes. We barely beat a very sorry team today. As we go into the bye week, if I had my way, Wade would be removed from existence as member of the organization and Garrett would be given the interim tag. Maintain the continuity and use this as a pre-job interview for Garrett. As interim for the rest of the year, Garrett will either sink or do the butterfly. I have no confidence that any of this will happen but a guy can wish... GG

Chiefs coach Todd Haley was with the Cowboys when they signed WR Miles Austin in 2006. "I take my hat off to Miles; he's a young guy that's been trying to find his way," Haley said. "He made a couple of huge plays, the biggest of his career I'm sure."

I recall reading a thread during the weak pointing out how maybe having Ware/Spencer switch sides would benefit the both of them.

We saw it on the Ware sack and on the next play on the Spencer near sack.

Good call whoever mentioned it.

Again, I saw Ware face a lot of one-on-one that handled him decently well. He just doesn't seem to do much other than a straight rush. Again, i saw not a lot of effort to push him off his line and out of the play when he rushed from the right side of the Dline. When he came from the otherside though, he showed a nice little inside move. Maybe he'd be more comfortable from that side?
Why would anyone be *****ing about Ware? He had two sacks today, some near misses, and almost forced a couple turnovers.

I'll point out that Austin dropped only one pass (more of a great play by the defense) all day long. He didn't have the drops you guys claim. You need to go back and rewatch the highlights.

It's definitely an indicator. What indication do we have of your intelligence? Your username? :laugh2:

This post is code for "I've been made to look a fool, so I'm going to try some smear tactics to bring you down with me"

You've got nothing, dude. You're just posting aimlessly at this point.

Jerry Jones impressed with NT Jay Ratliff

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said after the win that he liked the way that nose tackle Jay Ratliff played in the win over Kansas City. Ratliff had a big blocked field goal attempt late in the fourth quarter.

"Jay Ratliff was leading during the game," Jones said. "When we were behind by 10 points, he was out there and making plays and doing things that I saw him doing last week against Denver that didn't pay off for him."

Jones was asked if he ever thought Sunday afternoon that the Cowboys simply can't lose to Kansas City.

"I don't ever go as far as saying we can't lose a game," Jones said. "But that crept into my mind before we came up here."

Austin balled out today. Period. The one that sticks out to me is the TD pass that he had and then fumbled into an incomplete pass. Tony put it on the money... Tony was deadly accurate pretty much all game long. That Austin drop may have been the only one. I wasn't counting but thought I saw more than one. ;)

=============================

100% agree that Wade is not in control of this team.

Don't know if I'd put Garrett in charge though.

But if JJ really wants Garrett as the next HC, he could at least see what Garrett can do - and with the team at 3-2 going into the bye.

Ouch.

He's gone from talking about the actual game to Jerry Jones bank account. Now you're running illogical reading comprehension smack.

This discussion is over and you know it

We will continue to be average until

1. Win the turnover battle. We lost to G men, Denver and almost KC because of negative TO.

2. Discipline and penalty. How many time do we give second life to opposing team or dig our Offense in to a hole?! Come on coach!

3. Redzone offense....not very good last few weeks. You keep scoring FG will only get you beat.

4. D coordinator needs to grow a pair and stop this prevent defense that almost prevented you from winning. It sure prevented us from winning last week.

..unregressed.

30/34 -- 2 TDs -- No INTs and a 113.7 QB rating.

Imagine that.

With all this regressing and unregressing, I'm gonna need some Dramamine.
