Cbz40 Post Game Thread | Dallas Cowboys 7 Green Bay Packers 17 FINAL

It just wasn't meant to be today. I still believe we are a good team.

I think our Defense played pretty well. In fact, if not for the miss call on Felix Jones recovering Romo's fumble, we may have only given up about 10 points.

The problem was mostly lack of execution on Offense. The OL didn't pick up the blitzes, R Williams fumble on a potential big play and then his drop on another potentially big play. Plus, there was Folk's miss on an early FG.
Even on the first offensive drive, Romo missed an open Austin.

We just didn't execute well, particulary on Offense.

I knew this was going to get brought up, and it's ignorant as well.

Going into the 4th quarter (down 10 I believe) Romo had 15 attemps to 11 rushes for our trio.

What was our TOP and how far was Green Bay ahead in the 4th quarter?

So now we're faulting the ONLY guy to get open all day? So he fumbled, so did Romo... I don't get it?

man I dunno it's hard to defend Roy Williams on that fumble.

It's like the guy can't have one week, just one week where all he does is show up, catch the ball and head into next week.

That fumble was just another highlight on the long list of Roy Williams resume as a Cowboy.

This game had all the makings of a hornets nest going in. Is anyone really surprised Dallas couldn't pull it out? The calls didn't help, either. As long as they pull it together next week against the 'Skins they will be fine.

Uhhh, that would be the #1 Stat Padding Offense (Against Scrubs Only....):(

what was the issue with last week? He did his part to keep us in the game, so Austin could win it?

Exactly.

You cant run the ball under those circumstances.

They doubled our TOP at 30 to 15. We tried to be balanced, yet played horribly and couldnt stay on the field.

Jason Garrett is the greatest... yippee....

The days I would get furious after a loss are done...No more will I let a team ruin my Sunday.

It was a tough loss..But We have 2 easy games and still lead the division. Now I'm going to find a good Comedy and relax with my family.

Later:D

Not upset by the loss...i just think this team is far from a finished product. But at least the sun shine pushers got a reality check and had their egos put in it’s place. Defense played great...feel bad for them.

Don't count on that. The sunshine crew will be out in full force claiming "all is well" and the ever effective "go root for another team".

The season isn't over by any stretch but to claim that this team is "over the hump" (the rally cry of the sunshine crew all season) just blew up. Yes, the team is allowed to have a bad game. They had one against KC and still managed to win the game. This wasn't a bad game. this was an atrocious game. Absolutely atrocious. I'm sure they'll all hang their hats on the garbage TD and claim that we only lost by 10.

The "easy" games scare me more than the tough ones with this team.

Your proving the exact opposite of your point.

Because we kept handing them the ball back, because of our pathetic pass attack. Garrett abandoned the run in the second quarter, if not end of first, meaning the TOP had no relevance to us abandoning the run.

We were constantly forced into 3rd and long situations, because Garrett doesn't know how to manage a game and play for yardage.

Now tell me, what did Miles Austin do today....

I think we need to look at our OLine. Romo is hit far too much in all 3 of the games Dallas lost. Our run game stunk and Romo has no time to get these throws out.

Our piss poor drafting, 0 depth, at Oline is showing.

How many guys went down today?

Columbo
Witten
Hamlin
Barber
Jenkins
Flozell

Did I miss anyone?

Of everything that happened today, the Columbo loss to the broken leg is huge. I'm worried about the instant hole that will create on the Oline. We have nothing of substance to replace him for any extended period of time. If Bigg has to move over to play left tackle we're in serious trouble at the guard position. Yikes! What a mess...

Which just goes to show, with the chokers on this staff and roster, there ARE no easy games.

We couldn't have beaten the Rams OR Lions today. That is simply pathetic.

Our OL was pathetic. No running lane for most of the game. Poor blitz pickup. I thought GB was the team with OL problem. Their OL outplayed ours.
The game was lost by our OL. I won't forget our WRs either. Poor performance by WRs as well. Romo and the RBs were getting killed back there.

 ......it was a loss...quit whining......4 in a row...did you think we would win out....?

for me the loss doesn't really bother me that much before the season and even before the Philly game i would have been happy to split these 2 game and i kinda still am.

It's the way we lose with down right sloppy and confused play that really gets under my skin, good team are not supposed to play this bad. When this team get punched in the mouth by a good team they completely lose any and all focus and fall back to the same pitiful play that has cost us so many games in the past
