Also, this was a RIVALRY game. These type of games happen all the time in rivalry or division games.
Again, I agree we have flaws, but a win is a win in this league. Any team can beat another on any given Sunday. Just ask the Steelers.

Don't give me that divisional game BS. Philly had no problem blowing us out every time they played us during the Campo years.
You're ridiculous. Complaining about a win. There was a game at Philly I believe in 04(we stunk that year especially defensively) when Roy injured TO where they struggled beat us and it was a game late in the year. The final score was 12-7. We led 7-6 pretty much the entire game that day. The Commanders always give us fits even during our Super Bowl years. These games happen dude ESPECIALLY in the division, be happy with the win.The30YardSlant;3092938 said:Why should Washington have been a tough game? Especially at home? Why? They are awful.

It isnt very encouraging, to say the least, especially considering we have no reason to think this will start playing better going into December.

guag;3092992 said:It definitely doesn't feel good... wins aren't always going to feel good. We played like absolute crap for like 55 minutes, but they did manage to find a way to execute VERY well when it mattered the most... sure, it would have been nice if they showed that kind of urgency for the other 3.5 quarters, but they should get some credit for coming through (on offense AND defense) in the last few minutes when the game was on the line.

I am with you on this. I don't mind running the ball but we ran it too much in the first half especially that series where Barber fumbled. When the defense knows all your gonna do is run the ball things like that fumble happen.NextGenBoys;3093002 said:Haha?
Everyone wanted Garrett to run the ball more.
Well we got exactly what we wanted. A run first gameplan and asking a defense to win the game.
We got exactly that, and people are now complaining about it.
Shut. the. hell. up.

The funny thing is, when Big Ben and the Steelers win a game like this, they "just find a way to win." When it's us, the other team gave us the win. Our defense played a good game today...enough to bail out the offense. We also ran pretty well.
You should try to look at the bright side every once in a while.

jobberone;3093032 said:And that exonerates Garrett? Romo had about a 50 rating for this game. That's a number I picked outta the air but I bet its close enough. WRs failing to catch the ball when it hits their hands.
How can you even start to evaluate Garrett when the execution is that awful?
Having said that, I do think he called a much better game. There were more runs called appropriately in this game. And when the situation called for it, Garrett opened it up and won the game. With the help of Romo throwing the ball better on that drive.
I'll give credit where its due and when.
However, if you think Garrett is off the hook for the lousy offensive showing the last two games then you're out of touch with reality.
