Apparently, they have the number one pass defense...at least that's what the announcers said. I haven't bothered to double check that, but if true, you could put things in perspective.

Also, this was a RIVALRY game. These type of games happen all the time in rivalry or division games.

Again, I agree we have flaws, but a win is a win in this league. Any team can beat another on any given Sunday. Just ask the Steelers.

I fully expected this game to be hard fought on both sides. What is troubling was not that it was a close game, but rather that it was a close game because of an ineptitude on our part.

Considering the non call on JC for grounding and the ticky tack hands to the face on TN and the ticky tack Illegal contact against MJ.....I don't give a damn if Ware was offsides or not!

Why should Washington have been a tough game? Especially at home? Why? They are awful.

Don't give me that divisional game BS. Philly had no problem blowing us out every time they played us during the Campo years.

If you dont understand why, I'm not going to go foward with this discussion.

Let's just agree to disagree here, I dont feel like explaining everything again this week.

You're ridiculous. Complaining about a win. There was a game at Philly I believe in 04(we stunk that year especially defensively) when Roy injured TO where they struggled beat us and it was a game late in the year. The final score was 12-7. We led 7-6 pretty much the entire game that day. The Commanders always give us fits even during our Super Bowl years. These games happen dude ESPECIALLY in the division, be happy with the win.

I'm saying that looking ahead this game doesnt feel much different from a loss. Last week we were outplayed by a very average team, and this week were outplayed by a god-awful team.

It isnt very encouraging, to say the least, especially considering we have no reason to think this will start playing better going into December.

It definitely doesn't feel good... wins aren't always going to feel good. We played like absolute crap for like 55 minutes, but they did manage to find a way to execute VERY well when it mattered the most... sure, it would have been nice if they showed that kind of urgency for the other 3.5 quarters, but they should get some credit for coming through (on offense AND defense) in the last few minutes when the game was on the line.

Can we shut up about the play selection and Garrett now?

We won by passing the ball.

Dallas wins despite Romo's awful passing.

Romo's passing has been inconsistent all year. High passes, low passes, behind guys, to far in front... He had A LOT of those bad passes here today.

if Romo hits on some of those passes, w/ the way they were running the ball, this game could have been a blow out.

Romo should buy every guy on the defense a steak dinner b/c they bailed him and the offense OUT.

Well said.

Except, a win feels good to me.:)

 Haha?

Everyone wanted Garrett to run the ball more.

Well we got exactly what we wanted. A run first gameplan and asking a defense to win the game.

We got exactly that, and people are now complaining about it.

Shut. the. hell. up.

Romo was all over the place with his throws all afternoon. But on that last drive, he was fire. TD Crayton. I will send him my bill for the heart repair I need done.

I am with you on this. I don't mind running the ball but we ran it too much in the first half especially that series where Barber fumbled. When the defense knows all your gonna do is run the ball things like that fumble happen.

ummmmm...yes we did....

Our passing game sucked all day, and then all the sudden we have one good drive with it and it one us the game? No. We were much much more effective running the ball today.

And we've had plenty of games that we LOST. Don't give me that crap. These are the type of games that build character. Sure, we have flaws, but we managed a win, despite many of our OWN miscues.

The funny thing is, when Big Ben and the Steelers win a game like this, they "just find a way to win." When it's us, the other team gave us the win. Our defense played a good game today...enough to bail out the offense. We also ran pretty well.

You should try to look at the bright side every once in a while.

We won by passing the ball.

And that exonerates Garrett? Romo had about a 50 rating for this game. That's a number I picked outta the air but I bet its close enough. WRs failing to catch the ball when it hits their hands.

How can you even start to evaluate Garrett when the execution is that awful?

Having said that, I do think he called a much better game. There were more runs called appropriately in this game. And when the situation called for it, Garrett opened it up and won the game. With the help of Romo throwing the ball better on that drive.

I'll give credit where its due and when.

However, if you think Garrett is off the hook for the lousy offensive showing the last two games then you're out of touch with reality.

Gemini this is not directed directly at you, I dont know what your stance was on it...

But now since we won we're not going to give Garrett any credit for his calls at the end of the game?

NOW is when we're going to point at our executin as a problem? Earlier on in the game.

Utterly ridiculous.

Are you serious? You are trying to defend Garrett after another horrific offensive performance? Do you realise Garrett is in charge of BOTH the run & pass? The run was working great till Barber fumbled, plus you have to convert 3rd downs.

That has been my argument all along. We're apparently on the same side here.

What I'm saying is execution was the problem last week, and it was never the play calling as the main problem.
