Cbz40 Preseason Game Thread | San Diego Chargers 17 Dallas Cowboys 7 | 2ND QUARTER

Question about the heel-toe rule: Why is it that on some receptions, we see receivers dragging their toe and get credit for the catch but if someone intercepts the ball, they have to get the heel down too?

It's just when your foot comes down toe to heel. If he would have just toe touched and picked his foot back up it's a catch. Strange rule but its the rule.

On the Floyd pass MCcann was right there he just missed the ball man if this team can ever get those half inch play the defense will be better

They can't control that but they can control all the busted coverages we always seem to have.

Bummer I thought the starters were going to finish the half. Would have loved to see them operate the 2 minute drill.

Especially on a sunday night game. People want to see the stars. Not freakin kitna and co.

Ball looks a lot more willing to tackle than say Mike Jenkins.

That's great, he doesn't know what the heck he is suppose to be doing, but he can tackle!

He was out of position all the time last year and didn't know his assignments, same this year!

You mean the same two starting corners that sucked last year? Those two?
Will they play as bad or worse than Scandrick/Ball?

3rd and 8

3 wides - Kitna quick pass Ogletree mowed down for a short gain.

My hope is that the defense improves substantially as the season goes on. Unfortunately, the offense can't make the drive-killing mistakes it did today; otherwise, it's going to find itself in many two score holes like it did today.

Pathetic series to end the half.

Got our rear ends kicked tonight. By a team coached by a waste of space head coach.

I think it's the part where the rest of the D looks identical to last year, so you would assume TNew and Jenkins might look the same as well.
The D, meaning the corners who keep giving up play after play and AREN'T our starting corners. How can you make ANY accurate assessment of the D with 2 VERY crucial components...especially for and aggressive defense that absolutely relies on good corners.

Punt is deep all the way to the 13, running in then back out right to the 30, flags fly and they are on San Diego.

I hope Rob Ryan is sand bagging in the pre-season.

I'm sure he is somewhat. Mostly this is just a God aweful defense.

1st and 10

3 wides shotgun, draw almost 8 yards.

:53 remaining in the half, time out.
