I just don’t understand why people are so hateful toward each other. It’s fine to disagree. In fact the diversity of thought here is what makes this place great. If you think someone is moronic, that’s fine but a person is unlikely to change another person’s mind by being hateful toward that person.

I get how frustrating it can be. You are trying to have a decent conversation and someone directs something personal toward you, it’s hard to overlook it. I can’t tell you how many times I have had to think really hard about saying something really ****** back toward them, because they have it coming, and trust me, as a lawyer, I know how to cut clean to the bone with words. But I usually just move on. It’s not worth arguing with someone not willing to listen.

Lambs comment does nothing to refute the absolute reality that BS did what any good man would do when facing a pack of media vultures questioning a play that appeared to be a give up play by the QB.

BS was both telling the truth, (he did tell him to throw it away "if it's not there"), but with a little fibbing too, (taking all the blame even though he didn't mean to throw it away before giving the play all the time available).

Let me try one last time to simplify it enough for you to wrap your brain around.

BS called the play and explicity warned the QB to avoid a sack at all costs by throwing it away if it wasn't open.

The QB followed that advice in EXTREME fashion and gave up on the play way to early by throwing it into the bleachers.

The media vultures were all over that in the PC, forcing BS to respond. BS had to choose between throwing the QB under the bus or taking the heat himself. He did what any good coach/good man would do and put the burden on himself publically and I'm sure he and Prescott talked later.

It's just that simple and anybody who has watched sports and PCs has seen this same scenario play out countless times. You're protect Prescott at all costs narrative that he was just following orders like a good soldier and that Lamb's comments here prove it is so.... well..... you.

I agree with everything you said except your conclusion, though I am not saying you are wrong. It may be true that both BS and Prescott failed but based on the video, I see it differently. You could argue the play choice was a mistake but based on what I saw, this was pretty clearly a 1-look read, either a fade or stop-out.

The situation was 3rd down, 14 seconds remaining, and no timeouts. I’m sure BS said don’t take the sack or throw short of the goal line. The pre-snap read also likely played a role as the corner played straight up with inside help from the safety. To me it looks like they are trying to take away the fade with inside protection against the slant.

As far as whether Lamb was open when the ball was thrown, pause the video at the 19:30 mark and you see that Lamb was still tied up with the defender when Dak released the ball. Could Dak have held the ball longer? Maybe but B. Jones and the DE were in Dak’s lap. If you pause right after the release, you can see that B. Jones was practically standing on Dak’s lead foot a fraction of a second later.

I haven’t seen the comment from BS and hadn’t seen the replay until a few minutes ago because I didn’t care. It was only after reading these comments that I decided to look for myself. If BS said he told him to throw the ball away regardless, that was most likely not true and just him supporting Dak. But I don’t think excuses were necessary because looking at the video, I don’t really have a problem with Dak’s decision.

Yeah these guys still don't understand and apparently they still won't let it go he was instructed look at Pickens if he's open when you hit your back foot throw it if not don't risk it don't take a sack and throw it away he did look Pickens was not open right away he was being blanketed as usual and then he pushed off to get open but it was a little too late that's why Prescott said well maybe in hindsight if I just held it one more 2nd we could have tried that but they weren't risking not at least trying to tie the damn game because they don't if they'd have lost that on that throat this place would have been equally as irritating with the complaint department that they can't win games well they were gonna lose one way or the other what what did it matter that they lost on bad kickoffs and a bad defense let's keep talking about Prescott it is so ridiculously insane..
