i can wish carter well and it costs me nothing. in fact, it earns me relief from the burden of resenting him for displaying a few of the frailties that make him recognizably "mortal" (human)... like me.

i've made more than one mistake in my life - and depended upon the forgiveness of those i'd harmed (both intentionally and unintentionally). i dare say if most of us got everything we had coming to us (in the form of retribution) we would be a much sorrier race of man.

alexander pope nailed it. "to err is human... to forgive, divine." it's the closest we'll ever come to emulating the Creator.

The Quincy vs. Hutch debates is what kept me from posting on this site eventhough I had signed up years ago. Some of these comments are reminding me why I stayed away from the fray.

I wish QC, Hutch, Ryan Leaf, etc. well...

I hold no hatred in my heart for anybody unless they harm my family.

If I remember right, we didn't WASTE a 2nd round draft pick on any of the other bums.

I don't hate and never did hate QC as a person. I hated the way he played QB, cuz, imo he sucked out loud.

Quincy signs 2-year deal with Montreal in CFL

IRVING - Former Cowboys quarterback Quincy Carter signed with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League on Tuesday.
Carter signed a two-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
“This is a great opportunity for me to do what I love best, which is to play football,” Carter said in a statement.
A second-round pick by the Cowboys in the 2001 draft, Carter played three seasons in Dallas and one season with the New York Jets. He did not play in the NFL in 2005.
He threw for 6,337 yards, 32 touchdowns with 37 interceptions in his four-year NFL career.

and plenty other reasons, but not the administration...at least the old timers. I don't know most of the new crew.


There's just a high degree of oddity from time to time, and that, buddy, is coming from mars...so that speaks for itself.
