“This is the best way for me to get my career started and show how serious I am about playing the game I love. For me, I have to play football. It’s been my life and my passion,” Carter told The News. “I’m happy right now. I’m proud of picking myself up, and now it’s time for me to go on with my career and show the NFL that I’m a playoff-caliber quarterback and a starter in the NFL.

How bout trying to become a NFL caliber quarterback 1st because his 1st PO appearance had more to do with the the heart of the team then had to do with him.

Look Rack. I could care less whether you believe me or not. I never did coke with Quincy, never saw it with my own eyes. But I was there and remember all the talk. It was discussed in the school paper.

You can act like the guy is clearly innocent all you want. I don't care. But I wonder what you know about Quincy. What you know about how he missed so many games because of "injury." Why he wasn't going to be on the team if he went back. About "the incident" where Quincy miraculously was initially in trouble but then let his teammates take the fall for coke bust. Why he was already on drug probation when he was drafted. Why he was volatile. Why Fox Sports reported that his last test was positive for Cocaine. Why it is always brought up with him. I wonder if you know all the "why"s.

That whole smoke and fire thing. I don't see why it is so hard for you to believe; Irvin was a cokehead too.. But you can write it all off as "hearsay" if you want. And Quincy can take me to Court for defamation if he wants.

It could be a fib since NFL substance abuse policy prohibits results from being made public. IIRC many rumors out there had it as cocaine.

QC was most likey jacked up on anything he could get his hands on! Weed, coke, herion, pricriptions, whatever...he had some serious cash!

One thing may lead to the other...who knows? Maybe with his admission that he did one thing, is a start? Two wrongs don't make it right, much less the first one.

I have to admit....last night I tried to smoke some hash......(but i couldn't get the corrned beef lit)!~ ;)

no doubt Q-Car tears it up in the CFL.

The game up here is probably more suited to him, he has mobility and a relatively decent arm. Now the 12th man on the field might cause him some problems,,,

QC stinks.

(something for those who have an unexplainable love for him to chew on). :starspin

I don't ever remember Cowboy fans ever having these kinds of heated debates over someone until QC came along...and that sort of confuses me, yet, I think I know why...

But, in a Politically Correct world that we live in...I won't reveal my thoughts...but say, it's simple, if you REALLY think about it! :(

Cuz he's a druggie?

It is going to be very interesting to see how he plays. I wish the games were still on ESPN so I could catch them. Always loved that game.

Maybe they'll also sign Hutchinson, and the entire city of Montreal will be torn apart.
I can't believe we were actually wasting time debating the merits of Hutchinson verse Quincy just two years ago. Crazy!

Though it wasn't all good, it certainly wasn't all bad with Quincy. I wish him the best and hope he gets it together.

My photo tribute to the legacy Quincy Carter:

Good Luck to Q, everyone has personal demons. I never understood the people that wanted him to fail. Growing up in DFW my guess is part of it was actual dislike of him as a player, but a lot of it was other things unfortunately still prevalent in TX. (I love TX, btw)

never thought I would see the day. definitely will check him out at Molson stadium. hopefully it will work out for him, he can prove himself and get back to the NFL. CFL style should suit him ok, with the wide field. somehow, i think his stay will be short though...

the Als have had a few ex-Cowboys: Jermaine Copeland, and presently have
John Nix. Copeland left to calgary. robert edwards, ex-Dolphin/Patriot is also on the team

actually out west with Calgary and Edmonton is where most ex-Cowboys go,
singor mobley, jason tucker, wayne mcgarity, Charles Alston, randy chevrier

Cool, I've always wanted a reason to get into the CFL

I'm gonna watch this season. Hoping QC will succeed

you know, I really never understood all the hatred towards Quincy... I mean I do understand it if you're a racist P.O.S. because that's as good a person as you are... but other than that.. just never understood it

So anyone that does not care for him is a racist?

I didn't like the guy because he was a crappy Qb....and he QB'ed my team on top it. I hope he got/gets off the powder, but I'm glad he's not the QB of the Dallas Cowboys anymore.

Good luck with your demons, Q.....but I'm glad your not in Dallas anymore.
