Chargers rookie arrested

It is all about mindset. You can either have the vigilante mindset or you can let someone else handle it.

The kid threw a rock and he got beat up by two adults -- one of them is 6'3" 245.

Let's ask this -- regardless of the circumstance, should a 6'3" 245 guy be beating up on teenagers?

I have had the impulse to do the vigilante thing as in destroy someone else property when they have done something that is real jerky. And even flew off the handle when provoked and verbally ripped someone apart and cursed them up and down.

But i clearly agree that a person of the size and condition that is required of an NFL LB needs to show some restraint when it comes to a youth doing something jerky and stupid.

Now i would not have a problem with him grabbing the kid and roughing him up a bit while placing him into submission, walking him over to the car or side of the road and waiting for the authorities to appear. But teeing off on him is just not right unless the kid is attacking him or someone else.

I'll bet the little idiot thinks twice before throwing rocks again! Maybe he learned a valuable lesson?

He may learn how to sue a football player with a decent income.

To begin with, I cant figure out how anyone doesnt have enough sense to know that throwing a rock at a moving car is just wrong.

Though getting a beating may cause him to think twice, or it may just cause him to plan his escape better next time, it may not deter this kind of behavior. Next time he may decide to throw a rock from a bridge where the driver will be unable to get to him.

I think a run in with the police would do more to deter this action.

he may not because he initiated the whole thing....... someone could have been seriously injured!

I'm guilty of doing some pretty dumb things as a teenager but nothing that would harm anyone.......

The police didn't scare me near as much as the thought of my dad busting my butt if I got caught!

Two keys here:

1. No one WAS seriously injured from the brick, whereas he WAS beat up and therefore pain and suffering and anguish could be claimed. In other words, it could very well be argued that he is the only one who suffered any actual damage that could be sued for legally.

2. The one with the deeper pocket is more vulnerable.

Y'know, I miss the homespun wisdom of Leotis Brown at a time like this.

Something about the misbehavin's and lax of respeck for authori-ty is sorely needed.

he deserved an ***-whooping, you have to take certain things into your own hands and this is one of those time - if he hit your car with a brick then he deserved to be hit with a fist (more than once).

Maybe he could explain to him why he was receiving an ***-whooping as it was dispensed?

"Why, good sir, that projectile which unfurled as I passed on this thoroughfare quite simply spun me into a frenzy. Please, do accept this apology."

The guy who chased down the punk was a football player ...... I suspect that majority of the internet badasses we've heard from would not have been as willing to confront the guy unless they confirmed he was smaller and weaker first.

The only size that I would consider is the size of my concealed pistola...and yes, I do carry one legally.

Depending on the size of the rock, I would definitely have knocked this punk silly.

There's no excusable reason any man should ever use those two sentences one after another.
