And NO!! I did NOT say that Wade was a puppet. Take a reading comprehension class boy. You're not going to get away with trying to claim something came out of my mouth that most assuredly did not. There are many people who are saying that Wade will just be another puppet (not me). What just went down in San Diego is proof positive that their GM is the person that has the power and control out there. If people can say that Wade is a puppet here, then those same people will be should be saying that about the situation in SD.

Interesting to me that names we passed over are names that the Chargers are now bringing up. Even more interesting is the admission that Wade would be the Chargers Head Coach if Marty had been fired sooner.

I don't know folks, maybe, just maybe Jerry has earned a benefit of a doubt. Before our coaching staff has even been fully assembled people are fitting Wade's butt for Jerry's hand.

Note for the reading comprehension impaired, I am not saying Jerry is the best GM in the whole world. Try and keep it to the evidence at hand and not the extremes of reach that you love so much. I don't need a reminder of the 500 coaches comment. That is long since moot and irrelevant.

I supplied some tidbits that a prudent person would call evidence, but, if that isn't enough, then I guess we could just go by what Jerry has said himself. he has come right out and said that he was going to be much more involved in football operations.(paraphrasing)

I didn't see a scrap of "evidence" in what you posted. Not a scrap. All I saw was some unproven speculation.

I.E...The hiring of Garrett a huge deal that Jerry is in total control and Wade is a puppet. But at the same time the retention of Zimmer from Campo's staff isn't. That was all Parcells.

Geez, what is it with a couple of you guys? I never, ever said that Wade is a puppet. Never. I said that there is some evidence Wade has less authority than Bill did.
Parcells was the person who retained Zimmer. Jerry recommended that he be retained but Jerry also made it perfectly clear that Bill did not have to keep him. If you recall, Bill got rid of almost every single coach except Zimmer. He said that Zimmer impressed him and that he was going to try it and see how it worked out. That is hugely different than having the owner go out and hire your OC for you before you get the job. I'd say that alone is a bit of evidence that parcell had more authority. He had the authority to retain or not to retain members of the staff when he took the job. He fired almost all, except for Zimmer. Wade has fired who? Interviewed which members of the current staff and decided himself that he wanted this one or that one to stay?

Does a boss give the same authority to someone he lowballs at first negotiations that he does to someone who was the 2nd highest paid person in his position?

I never said I had any proof of anything. You asked for some evidence and I provided some, whether you choose to accept it or not is immaterial.
