I'd like to see Randy Allen, at least signed to PS. He's a much better EDGE rusher than Tapper but Ravens had too many at this position, someone had to go.

Neal also outplayed Tapper. So did Lenny Jones.

I also think a lot of fans are just realizing their expectations of him were way too high.

I think Tapper spot is pretty secure at this point. Granted like any other young player you will need to show improvement in your play to keep your spot. With DE being as thin as it is due to suspension Tapper will get his chance to show himself

This was his first training camp and preseason of his career. He didn't get any sacks so people are disappointed. But all reports are that he had a great training camp. So let us see how he does this season before we pass judgement.

I wouldn't let him linger on the roster too long if he can't stay healthy and contribute.

Another thing I dont people realize is that playing as a 4-3 DE is something he doesnt have a ton of experience with. He was basically a 5 Tech at Oklahoma

It seems Tapper didn't do too much in the preseason. Would he make the PS? Maybe just needs more time.

He's like the sasquatch. I've heard about him, heard he can be very special and quick, but it's all hearsay. I've seen a flash here and there but only briefly. Disappears. I hope he's real. Wouldn't be surprised if we gave up on him.

If Tapper was on thin ice, dont you think he would have been traded at some point last week?

He was damn near a 3rd round pick at a money 5, has elite measurables, and is pretty much a rookie. If his roster spot was that tentative, he could easily have been moved for compensation

He isn't a lock, but close to it. To early to give up on a 4th rounder from last year given his circumstances.

Considering its Nate, no one really knows if thats what he actually said. May have been a mistranslation of " Its a bit muggy down on the field"

@FuzzyLumpkins has kept an eye on him in the preseason and Tapper shows intriguing potential.

Saw that during pre-season when Nate threw it out. If there is raw material Rod M/ Leon L should be able to work with ...this is it then.

Even if it doesnt work out at DE...........that 1st step, with his interior line exp. at OU---3 tech snaps?
