Fine? Doubtful. We are pinning our hopes on a 5th round pick who was barely able to practice, a guy who has started a handful of games, and a career backup.

And now that Woodson is asking for less money, he would have been signed yesterday if the Cowboys wanted him. Obviously as of now, they don't want him.

I think he is an exception to the rule, meaning he has plenty of game despite his age...at least a year or two left in some relevant role.

He had the injury last year, but the year before that, had like 70 tackles, 2 sacks, 7 INT's, 15-20 PD's.

Hook him up with a vet minimum contract for a season. Immediately upgrades to the secondary, gives the young guys some well needed experience to learn under and with no commitment involved.

I would be in favor of that pending the passing of a physical.

Yeah, for a 1-2 year stop gate til the young players are ready shouldn't be a problem at all, will give the youngsters time to develop and gain confidence and experience. A vet should be begged for here, after all we are begging for them at other positions and there isn't a position on this team that needs more veteran experience at the moment than safety.

I don't understand why we wouldn't make a play for him, even Stephen said the importance of the position pre-draft, and then he takes a small school project who definitely isn't ready to play. Based on that comment from Stephen alone, I can see a vet safety added before any other position on this team at the moment.

Its bout time some of the people here start paying the position the attention it deserves, cause they will definitely notice those long TDs against us on Sundays without the attention to the position.

We've stocked the position with prospects, for sure. Talent.. yet to be proven.

I agree.. Blame it on Ken Hamlin.

Jerry pretty much said he wasn't spending big money on that position anymore because of the Hamlin contract burning him.

You're right though, any team could be negotiating with him right now, which is why its kinda dumb to say no team wants him right now. He could be signed tonight for all we know.

With what his production has been in recent years.. there isn't a good reason not to want him when you look at the other options on the roster.
