Can't go wrong with a Sonny from Bronx Tale or Agent Kujan from Usual Suspects reference...
He begs to differ.....
it's really lot surprising at all, they are red shirting him. They have plenty of OL depth and don't want to lose a highly thought of draft pick, (at least to the Cowboys). I expect them to add several other young players, with not so major injuries, on IR to stash them away for the future. I think that Green will be put on PUP, and extend him on that list as long as they can, before officially IR'in him.
But very limited in high quality RB's.
That's a good looking list, lot of well known RB's on that list.
Yes, now they can put him on the PUP, but have the option to take him off of it anytime during training camp.
If they thought he was a year away from contributing, then this just gives them an extra roster spot.
Langford is the guy I wanted. I like Green but more in the 5th-6th round.
Gibson just made the 53.

If they thought this and still spent the third rounder, they are doing it wrong.
It is not unreasonable at all to expect your third round choice contribute as a rookie.
I think most would like to be optimistic like that however it seems that injuries on this team have a history of lingering and being worse than the original "prognosis"I know some people are bothered because other players have missed time with injuries, but there is nothing in the report that indicates this could keep him out for more than a bit of training camp. It was a minor issue that he could have played through, but the team wanted to get it fixed so it wouldn't linger. It sounds like he'll be ready to go at some point during training camp. Maybe we should wait before declaring him out for the season?
