Granted Spotrac can be off, they had Church and Jefferson within $1MM of each other. So if Church was going to cost me $6MM and I could get Jefferson for $7MM, it's a no brainer.

Admittedly my issue here is that I just don't think much of Church.

Jefferson is just so much better than Church, I can't imagine it just being a mill difference. Jefferson's agent is probably asking for 10, but they'll settle for probably 8-9 to someone.

I agree, NY. We can't keep losing these guys and expect reserves to pick up their slack. Church was solid. Solid enough to where, barring a signing of Eric Berry (and, obviously he was extended), Church was our guy.

Going into this draft with too many holes on D sets us back. It is what it is, tho. No way in hell we pay Chrch that.

Hope we can re-sign Wilcox for a decent price. He's a thumper and he vastly improved last season. A late bloomer of sorts.

Heath does manage to actually catch interceptions, if that's any consolation.

Some and he hits like a Peterbuilt, but he is lost at times diagnosing angles, plays, coverages, etc.

He's a hell of a Cowboy, special team'er, etc. I just like him slotted as a backup, rather than a starter.

I like him, but with so many holes now, I don't think we can afford to spend another 1st rounder on a safety.

Someone needs to be talking to Wilcox, Mo, and Carr though. Can't fill that many holes in one draft, and I hope the FO doesn't think they are the Pats cause they aren't. We need players.

The second best safety on the market, Church reportedly received interest from a "number of teams" before landing in Jacksonville.

All I am asking is how do they upgrade now way Jefferson is coming here...Wilcox? You can't count on the draft the player may be gone...Cyprian....he sucked and is worse than Church...just saying all this wait till next year talk from some...this team could look like a lava rock by he end of the week with all the holes

With this draft, I'm taking a safety in the top 3 rounds anyway.

Between a draft pick and Frazier, Church is a mediocre progress stopper. It was time to move on anyway.

Syd, I'm more concerned about the holes created than the actual players leaving (for the most part, I'd like to keep Wilcox and TMac -- but I saw what you posted on him, so we diverge a bit there, too). We have a thin D, it's gonna have to be a very productive offseason.
