I agree, I don't get how people say Mo is better than Peterson already. It just folks looking at our players with rose colored glasses. If a CB is drafted with a top ten pick, he better be a playmaker. Peterson has been a playmaker since day one. Mo is looking like another Tnew to me. He is simply not on the same level as Peterson. Mo was second best in college and he will never be on Peterson's level in the pros.
He lucks into a lot of INTs, but I wouldn't put him in the top 30 corners in the league. Claiborne had a better 2013 campaign by just about every coverage statistic other than INTs.I haven't seen enough of Peterson recently, but he struggled as a rookie. I know he's supposed to have gotten a lot better. I think Mo's ahead of his pace, but I don't think he's physically comparable, overall. If Peterson's trajectory really is upward, he's probably going to be the better player.
I think both he and Mo are going to be considerably better players than the Honey Badger, though I have heard, too, he's wowing people in camp. Too soon to tell for all of them, though.

Hey, you could actually watch the plays. But that may be too much for you. I did it earlier in the offseason to see if he was *THAT* good. Or just that lucky. You don't luck into 7 picks dude. Get real.

Honey badger
I think, statistically speaking, Claiborne will be more likely to have a pass not completed to the receiver he is covering than Peterson will over the next 5 years.Anyone that has claiborne in front of Peterson is a homer. Peterson has already proven to be the real deal at both corner and special teams. Unreal. Claiborne has had one season and it was not that impressive. Given he is a rookie, no way can you put him in front of peterson based on what we have seen.

Week 2 (vs. Patriots) - Tipped ball at the LOS. Comes down about 5 yards from where Peterson was standing when tipped.
Week 5 (vs. Rams) - Two rushers blitz completely unblocked. Rams QB lobs it up in the air as the rushers are 2 feet from him, and the pass comes down right to Peterson completely uncontested.
Week 6 (vs. Bills) - Bills QB lobs it deep. The throw is so far inside, the Bills WR didn't even attempt to get the ball. Goes right to Peterson.
Week 12 (vs. Rams) - Rams QB throws in to TRIPLE coverage in the endzone. Peterson comes down with it.
Week 13 (vs. Jets) - Deep pass down the middle. Peterson reaches over receiver and snags the INT. This is the ONLY interception that was impressive.
Week 14 (vs. Seahawks) - Seattle QB throws a duck down the sideline. The receiver falls down coming back to the ball. Pass goes right into Peterson's lap.
Week 15 (vs. Lions) - Lions QB overthrows the receiver by about 5 yards down the sideline. It's so far overthrown the Lions WR doesn't even attempt to catch the ball. Peterson is behind the receiver and on the outside of the receiver (between the receiver and the sideline). Just happens to be in the perfect position to make the catch.
Seven passes. Five of them were wild throws or poor decisions by the QB. One of them was a tipped pass. And only one was an actual play made by Peterson. There is no way around it -- he was simply in the right place at the right time on six plays in 2012.
By and large, interceptions in the NFL are due to bad passes, tipped passes or receivers falling down -- not due to GOOD plays by the defender. It's about luck and being in the right place at the right time. It's not something you can teach, and it's not something that physical skills can actually cause happen.
I don't think it was a waste. Talking out of pure ignorance is a waste of time, and you seem to have plenty of time to kill.I am sure you can do a similar breakdown for Ed Reed, too. You just wasted a bunch of time typing that, as it is asinine.
Out of Morris Clairborn, Tyrann Mathieu and Patrick Peterson, which one will have the best career. The worst career?
Tyrann Mathieu is projected to start against the cowboys, and is wowing people in camp supposedly.
I'm predicting Patrick Peterson has the best career from what I saw in college and NFL thus far, with Tyrann Mathieu close behind.
