I only really only see 3 big holes left . Back up QB , DE, and RB. Players like Crawford , Claiborne and Wilbur are serviceable. We went 12-4 with them contributing . I think a good healthy QB changes this team a lot. Lets see what happens in the draft now.

And multiple DE's

He has to go, right?

You cannot go into next season with basically the same secondary with a rookie or two sprinkled in and think you've fixed that issue.

It seems like Carr, Wilcox or Church has to go

OScandrick is back and BJones can be a CB or FS

Mitchell, Olatoye, Thomas and Heath provide the depth plus any draft picks

You need to get a contributor with the #4 pick. If you select a QB that high he needs to be a starter. DL is deep in this draft and can be addressed later.

Ramsey has been called the best defender in this draft. Dallas will have one of the best and youngest safety tandems in the NFL with Ramsey & Jones.

Going into free agency Dallas had question marks with Carr, Claiborne, and Scandrick, their top three CBs. Resigning Claiborne and drafting a CB with the #2 pick would only leave Scandrick as the unknown.

With this scenario Dallas has resolved 90% of the secondary.

Mo was called the best defender since Deion.... tell me how many teams have spent first round picks starting in their defensive back field and the 4 th spot on the db with a high priced free agent acquisition? That is placing a lot of premium resources at one spot of your team. Other areas of the team need attention too.

That's your opinion. The backup qb will contribute on the scout team when Romo has his off days and well get to work with the 1st offensive unit. He will contribute when Romo goes down with another injury and has to miss games. We AREN'T anywhere near a superbowl contender. This draft isn't gonna make us one.

Sad. I guess there will be no upgrade at our CB position in FA. Hope we see some upgrades at CB in the draft.
It's just hard to watch a professional defensive football player who's afraid to hit or tackle anyone.

A backup for a year or two can turn into a 20m starter

Look at Cousins and Osweiler

We can get 6 years out of a 1st round pick before FA

because we can draft one next year...... maybe Claiborne will take the league by storm like he was suppose to when we used the 6th pick on him. How many 1st round picks do you need in the defensive back field?

But you would use a 1st rounder next year then.

Wilcox played pretty good when paired with Jones. It's when he's paired with Church that he plays less than optimal. Not so sure he cant be serviceable as a SS with a true FS like Jones starting.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Don't kid yourself. Wilcox is a huge liability no matter who he plays with. If he looked better with Jones, that just means Jones could cover more of his missed ground and false steps than Barry Church could.

Yes, but it also could mean he was assigned the wrong role. The dude is not a FS. We had two SS playing at the same time.

I still think we go corner early. Carr and Claiborne I think will be gone after next season. Could get Ramsey move him to safety w Byron or just make him learn how the nfl is and keep him at corner

Thank goodness. Was really sweating this one out. Had no clue how we could replace his level of production.

This is all about Jerry refusing to admit what a huge bust this guy was and is
