Yes, they needed to change GM's 25 years ago. That dog isn't going to hunt though. We all know that.Sure they can but until the GM changes his ways i dont think youll see the change your looking for..
but yet you still see on this forum everyday how Dak is ruining the Cowboys, which takes me back to my original post...what do we call the 20 years before Dak got here?Yes, they needed to change GM's 25 years ago. That dog isn't going to hunt though. We all know that.
We’re still one of the youngest teams in the league. But if you’re talking about a couple of positions, well then OK lolSad that this franchise refuses to move forward and start fresh. Same old same old is so so boring.
We have to cope the minutia because the big problem is not going to change. We'd be sitting around twiddling our thumbs if we just talked about Jerruhh all the time. Dak isn't the real problem but he's also not a solution. Two things can be true there.but yet you still see on this forum everyday how Dak is ruining the Cowboys, which takes me back to my original post...what do we call the 20 years before Dak got here?
He's not ruining the Cowboys but he's asking to be paid big money, more than anyone else in the league and has not produced in the playoffs. In the 20 years before that we didn't have a player especially at the most important position in football demanding that. So your comparison or whatever makes no sense.but yet you still see on this forum everyday how Dak is ruining the Cowboys, which takes me back to my original post...what do we call the 20 years before Dak got here?
You can, you just cant bump an old post. I've reposted links to old threads several times and never had an issue. Can we not re-post a post here now? I know we used to be able to be able to.
The contract is getting done. Clarence Hill did not think it was close a few weeks ago. He must be hearing something. Stay tuned.https://alldlls.com/dak-prescott-deal-closer-but-cowboys-playing-with-fire/
"But there is an effort to get something done before Sunday’s season opener against the Cleveland Browns.
And, per a source with direct knowledge of the negotiations, progress has been made during talks with Prescott and the Cowboys and a deal is closer than it has been.
What’s also true, per the source, is the length of the deal is not a sticking point in negotiations, as has been reported. They are on the same page in terms of length."
Because no one can really leave. We just think we can.
Romo did, but Jerry paid him right away. Never made Romo beg for his 2 big contract extensions the way he has done with Dak.He's not ruining the Cowboys but he's asking to be paid big money, more than anyone else in the league and has not produced in the playoffs. Romo and Jones compromised on a six-year termed contract. Twice.Romo did, but Jerry paid him right away. Never made Romo beg for his 2 big contract extensions the way he has done with Dak.
Romo never demanded $60m. And Dak has already been paid once and now demanding more than the last contract. Romo didn't come close to any of this. Another bad comparison. Dak doesn't deserve anything except what he is getting now.Romo did, but Jerry paid him right away. Never made Romo beg for his 2 big contract extensions the way he has done with Dak.
It should be noted no NFL quarterback demanded $60 million AAV neither in 2007 and 2013. AAV demands increase as time passes.Romo never demanded $60m. And Dak has already been paid once and now demanding more than the last contract. Romo didn't come close to any of this. Another bad comparison. Dak doesn't deserve anything except what he is getting now.
You can’t compare the market then to now. WRs are getting paid what Romo did.Romo never demanded $60m. And Dak has already been paid once and now demanding more than the last contract. Romo didn't come close to any of this. Another bad comparison. Dak doesn't deserve anything except what he is getting now.
Didn't pick up on anything they just repeated this original article by Clarence HillLooks like PFT is picking up on something too.

I'd still get the Kevin McCallister countdown going though...
Yeah but Romo also took the discounted rate. He was 14.5% of the cap and signed for less than Rodgers, Flacco, and Ryan who all signed the same offseason. We can only assume but If Dak were to take a discount and accept a Goff/Tua type of deal I would imagine its done already.Romo did, but Jerry paid him right away. Never made Romo beg for his 2 big contract extensions the way he has done with Dak.
