No one is bad mouthing you CC. They are mocking the idea of taking Tebow, not you.

He can't be drafted in 2008. The idea dies right there.

I don't believe he's even a 1st round pick when he does come out.

Yes Hos, you are right....I missed typed .....sometimes email is hard to convey your thoughts when you are typing fast.....then you read what you wrote later and go--WHAT?

Anyhow, I respectfully disagree with you.......TIM TEBOW will be a first rd pick.......

Remember a player QB name Andre Ware sp? :laugh1:

Not a good example. Just how well did Ware play in the NFL?

Tebrow will be another Akili Smith. or Randal Cunningham if he REALLY improves a LOT as a QB.

I remember Andre Ware very well. I predicted he would be an NFL flop much to the chagrin of two friends who were Lions fans.

Let's look at his NFL career shall we?

161 career pass attempts, 83 completions, 51.5 completion %, 1112 yards, 5 TDs, 8 INTs, 38 career carries, 217 rushing yards, 0 TDs for his 4 year career.

That means that you want us to use our potential top 10 pick in 2008 on a guy who can attempt approximately 40 passes per year, complete 21 passes per year, for 278 yards per year, 1 TD pass per year, 2 INTs per year, 9 carries per year, 56 yards per year, and no rushing TDs per year.

Correct me if I'm wrong but those statistics suck. I wouldn't want what he did over 4 years in 1 years from a QB. Look at the breakdown of what his average season would be like. Tony Romo had at least 5 games that were better than what you could expect from Ware for an entire season.

This comparison doesn't exactly excite me about Tim Tebow CC. In fact, it strengthens my resolve to avoid him like the plague.

Surely, you're not associating Tebow and Ware? That's a kiss of death. Sure, Ware was a first rounder, but what did he do? Played in only 14 games during four seasons? Barely passed for over 1,100 yards in his whole career? You were probably only joking when you mentioned both players, but comparing them in any way murders your opinion of Tebow.

Tim Tebow... the next great SEC QB... to play WR in the NFL.

Okay, okay... runs a 4.69 forty... TE?

Colt Brennan or Colt McCoy.

Those names just sound like Cowboys.

:D

Man with Colt McCory for a name, that kid wouldn't be able to play anywhere but Texas. He's born for it.

I wouldn't rule him out for developing into a 1st round pick, Hos. Vince Young did not look much like a sure shot 1st rounder his freshman year.

Not that Tebow showed as much as VY as freshman, but he did have a pretty good senior QB starting in front of him.

I'm like you, I don't think he will develop into a top rated passer, but there is something about his toughness that I like.

I'm interested in seeing how he develops.

CrazyCowboy is crazy like a fox.

Tebow has the tools, is in a great situation, and has time to develop.
He's not NFL ready yet, but he was only a true freshman last year.
So, yeah, he's a great futures pick.

Speaking of which, CrazyCowboy, do you pick stocks too? Any suggestions?

Wasn't it some kind of gimmick offense Ware ran at Houston as well? I think they called it the run and shoot.
