I’ll give you this 9 wins with the amount of injuries is quite a rebound from what 3-7 they were . However one more loss and you’re looking at 2 losing seasons out of the last 5 under MM .

I have not seen evidence this team is challenging the likes of Detroit SF Minn Philly Balt KC etc anytime soon . Not all MM fault but JJ isn’t firing himself .
The first season was a complete rebuild and new coach affair.

JJ loved that we were “hanging around the rim” after last season. In his view— we are “competing” and “finishing strong” this season.

There are those that claim he is just about the $$$ and is intentionally uninterested in putting a winning team out there and that he is indifferent to their performance.

I am afraid the malady is far more severe than greed, indifference, and being cheap. I think he ACTUALLY believes the fantasy that we are good enough to win the superbowl each and every year.

I think every year he literally talks himself into viewing his rosters as being capable and competent of getting the job done. I think he truly believes in the tripe he puts out there in the media.

Every player will play to his potential. Every second year player will develop. Every bargain bin player they take a flyer on will work out, etc….

It is terrifying to watch him point at this team now and convince himself that everything is rainbows and unicorns on the good ship lollipop. He is most certainly preparing to run it back and sell this season’s struggles as an anomaly and injury-plagued fiasco.

He has gone to the store and come back with all the lipstick he can find for his pig.

He will start selling 2025 the moment 2024 ends by “rallying” around extending Big Mike and hyping up how this roster “fought” and “competed” to the end.

It would be hilarious if it wasn’t so tragic.
This is a man who is discounting being around the rim.

Even after being warned not to.

Ok so you give MM a pass on 6-10 and what one playoff win in five seasons now another losing season . The Cincy game is a microcosm of this staff , a victory turned defeat when all you do is let the Bengals punt take the ball or let Turpin return it get the FG and Win .

After the game none of the coaches knows what happened .

Who did he replace as head coach and the status of that group's record. Straight up, only foolish wouldn't take note.

great post, your probably right and cowboys fans are in for more bad seasons ahead.

some words from 5twos:
Two things that Jerry Jones believes….

-He can talk things into existence.

-He can make good players into stars by paying them that way.

This is relevant for the Dallas defense.

The Cowboys will be playing with only two of their considered top five corners and the Eagles can have a top running game.

Jerry is a problem, of course, but I don't get all the anger about this year. Do people expect there to be no drop off losing all these players, especially the starting QB? It does matter who is wearing those jerseys on game days.
the anger has to do with the why we lost all those players, than the result of it.
they were replaced by guys we had left on roster, no FA, kept MM for another year, and now might extend him, paid dak before end of season,
they could have waited for what they paid him etc etc etc.

Do a real analysis of who played afterwards as well as how they came along. The only positional group that did not survive the drain was the cornerbacks to today.

You start on a real topic and follow along on syntax.

Keep up with your non-topic and nothing boyish insulting.

lame ducks cartoon with lame congress duck and the caption Lame Congress Duck- by R. J. Matson

You are a lame duck unable to respond to pictures. I never had that problem especially as a Cowboys fan.

When all that is done by yourself, is insult...one, misses a lot of humor. And takes it all to heart. Now say that is a lie.

One is a first person pronoun, not second person that is a step-son of yours.

The good news of the day is that both Jalen Brooks (knee) and Eric Kendricks (calf) returned to the practice field, both in a limited capacity, after both were ruled out against the Buccaneers last weekend.

Brooks and Kendricks will both be needed against the Eagles, given the amount of injuries suffered at receiver and linebacker, respectively.

Prove it beyond a 3 season 12 win basis...get real as well as listen. Get what someone else is saying at least. Yes, foolish by the comparison present. Show some real facts not attitude.

The roster for Dallas has played mostly for now the fourth season. This one had 7 starters out of the lineup with IR level problems. That wasn't mediocrity. Not Champions but NFL good. With the current Head Coach.

Care to present Garrett's years in the playoffs for comparison?

Foolish ignores accomplishments in building. Injuries out of hand kills all teams.

Have you ever had to overcome a 6'5" lineman weighing in at 320 pounds head up? Yes, I have and against future Pro Bowlers.

What has McCarthy done in the playoffs . Home field against the Packers they embarrassed this once proud franchise .
You keep mentioning 12 wins . Giants twice a year Washington twice a year you split with Philly … that’s 5 built in wins a yr then the Jets and Pats come into town a few yrs ago that’s 7 etc etc etc . Cleveland this yr .

I thought Dallas fans rooted for SB wins at the end of a year not 12 wins against the Krispy Kreme donut box .

First off, the foundation for a good franchise is getting to the playoffs. That is the selective basis for respect of the sport being played.

This is on the professional level and the base of respect is that almost all on a team, deserves the respect for being eligible to play at that level.

I look for positive elements and state reference of team building concepts that reflect the positive...first.

I'm not a fan who starts with the insults if the team doesn't achieve a Lombardi. If they are playing the sport and sacrificing to achieve...myself, I'm not going to just insult for positive perspectives that are respected in leadership and team.

12 wins all about a donut selection? Sorry, this is a sport. A strong one that pays participants very well on the social scales.
