I think that is what old people were saying about rock in the 60s or 70s. Saying about the Rolling Stones (misogynists and drug takers), Tom Petty (abuser of hair coloration) and the Who (drug takers, brawlers and insecure "people try to p-p-put us down . . . .").

Ifffin you don't like hip-hop, get out of the way because the hip-hop train is headed down the track and it will run over your tired preconceptions and generalizations. And biases.

and I have never bought a hip-hop CD or seen an entire hip-hop video or gone to a similar concert.

Give me Motown over that crud any day of the week at least those artist had talent and could sing. I once saw Snoop trying to sing and the man can’t carry a tune in a bucket but the man knows how to rhyme words together.

Music is about music and entertainment is about entertainment the hair bands of the 80's are a prime example of image and entertainment over musical talent.

Maybe so, but trust me, Kanye West isn't outselling the Beatles by a long shot. That old music is still ringing up the sales. Somehow, I think come 40 years from now, Kanye West won't be selling anything anymore than Culture Club or Flock of Seagulls are flying off the shelves today.

As part of more of the supreme truth, The NFL and Goodell (and maybe Jerra cause he has great influence on what happens in the NFL) have gone, in my opinion, and got some dinosaurs from the bronze age to play the Super Bowl -- The Who.

To put it in the vernacular patois of Zoners, Don't get me wrong, ah grooved on the Who music. But that was decades ago!!!

Time marches on! Nobody under the age of 40 knows who these generic and cliched rockers are! Give the new blood of true performers a chance, Roger!!!!

Why the music from that time frame, far far away in another galaxy?

So this brings up the question, Mr. NFL Goodel: WHY DO YOU KEEP IGNORING HIP-HOP?
The Tom Pettys and Whos of the world are tired and they don't represent the players or the core audience of the NFL. And I don't mean the suits in the stands who can afford $5,000 tickets on Super Bowl Sunday.

Even that low-rent but lovable genre, country, could be considered. But noooo, a prehistoric act from guys who are museum pieces.

OK, so you have proved Doomsday's thesis of my failed educatunal system. What i should have spelt is geriatric, not generic. But I stand behind my description of cliched. The struttin, the rebellion (they are 60 or 70-year-olds and that is too old for rebellin) the english cliche of a 60s and 70s band.

hey that sure is an opinion you've got there. i think the who is one of the worst bands of all time, it literally is often just noise. so much so in fact, that the lead singer pretty much just went deaf because of all the noise.

whose opinion is right? maybe they're just opinions, and you stating yours as though it was fact is kind of stupid? yeah, i'm thinking that.
