C'mon, why not upgrade at backup QB?

lol, I add, at times, humor, which is more than the two of you ever acheive. But you avoided the question. I have been on a ton of forums in my day and not once seen the LOL. shtick. Yet the two of you have it, and seem to respond to the questions of whether you are the same person the same way everytime. You both also respond to each others threads every time with out exception. If you don't know each other then its odd regardless.Oh and this is the internet, I don't care about being cool here. In the real world I have an ex wife to let me know I am a loser, everything else I hear is just theory.

Sorry the marriage didn't work out guy. Seriously. Philo and I have made it no secret we are friends in the same part of the country.
The LOL and LARGE phrases have been explained on this board in the past.
The LOL and LARGE phrases are a tribute to the old Q fans back on the FWST board. Q's faithful handful of followers on that board used those terms all the time when they were giving their guy (and themselves) kudos each and every time Q went out and stunk up the joint. Kind of catchy phrases and only meant to be light hearted. Anyway, enough references to a QB that no longer is on our roster.
Furthermore, double check your facts. I respond to posts by many on this board when I find the topic of interest.
Make it a great evening.

It's Groundhog day.

That's the only possible explanation.

Actually, based upon some of the stuff I'm seeing on this board it's closer to April Fools day. LOL. :laugh1:

Thanks for another great thread gimmeballs, phidodido, and falseprophet!

Sorry guy, apparantly you were looking for a more interesting topic, like comparing shoe sizes of our WR's or something. :laugh2:

This topic still is an important one for this team. Get over it.

nah it really isn't every other back up we have had was a has been or never was and I never heard jack about it. Johnson has a super bowl ring, which is more than you can say for most backup qbs in the league, if not all of them.

I have no comment because it will be taken wrong.

I'm torn here...

I hate the idea of Brad Johnson as our backup quarterback, but I also hate the idea of agreeing with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum about anything.

If money were no object, Trent Green would be a much better option IMHO -- I see him as a guy who, if Romo went down, our season would still have a pulse -- but I don't see him going to a team that already has its starter firmly in place.

Johnson gives me no comfort as a backup whatsoever. I think he's totally finished as a QB. :(

The horse a.k.a. this topic has been beaten into glue. Get over it.

It's like a Family Guy episode.

So, let's get this straight. Quincy & Sons used the exact same phrases for all the wrong reasons. And NOW, you're doing the same thing here for the exact same AND wrong reasons?

:banghead: :shoot4: :rake: :abuseme: :drunk: :insane: :shootme:

Actually the topic is stupid. We signed a backup. He's our backup. That's it. Done.

Johnson is too old IMHO.......

Careful CrazyCowboy, you will enrage many on this board with that kind of thinking. After all what's not to like about a 39 year old, tired arm QB who is at the end of a long, unremarkable career. :lmao2:

Actually, your thinking is stupid. Romo goes down, the back up QB goes in to win ball games, not just to take snaps. Many of us feel that ole Bradford is not up for the job. Get over it.

I will ignore your namecalling BS as it is nice to welcome you into my camp. :laugh2: Brad Johnson is indeed finished despite the denials by some on this board.

I guess you forgot that Roger Staubach was a back up at one point.
Johnson won a SB behind the best defense in the NFL, similar to how the Ravens won it a few years ago. In addition Johnson won that SB at the twilight of his career...he is well beyond that at this point.

*sigh*

I'm going to make one futile last ditch attempt to drum this into your skull.

If Romo goes down for the year, the season is done. We know it. The front office knows it. There was no one out there who has relegated themselves to the backup role who would have made any difference in that regard.

We may indeed draft a rook QB, but I got news for you... Even if it is John Beck, if Romo goes down for the year, the season is STILL DONE!! There is no "covering ourselves" if Romo isn't the answer or gets injured this year. None. The sooner you realize that, the sooner you can get over your little QB fetish.
Nice defeatist attitude. So there's no backup at all who could carry on the season. Hmmmm, KC didn't seem to have that problem last year.
