Guess you didn't know...

I guess we will find out. If Garrett has the clout and is calling the shots as far as what takes place on the field then I expect Zeke will be playing

It's not a flip/flop statement...and it stands on it's own merit. Young athletes tend to get more often, because they are just not prepared for the NFL level of intensity and violence. If an alternative were being offered, it would be that the 'rook' is being brought up to speed, properly. Crawl...walk...and then run.

Actually, a more prudent form of development. After Basic Training, a soldier must be able to go to war...good group interaction, requires education and integration. That is gained best, over time...

It wasn't meant to be pointed out as a flip flop statement.

It was pointed out to show the hilariousness in people like yourself who probably ignored the injury factor of TBs when wanting Elliott at 4 but are now worried about exposing our young TB to injury and a pounding. LOL.

Jerry's quote was before the Garrett press conference today that confirmed he would play. Jerry likely did not see the game plan before his interview, so was not sure if Zeke would play or not.

You can't go inserting logic into this, man. What's wrong with you?

Haven't you heard? Zeke's season will be RUINED if he doesn't play on Thursday night! LOL.
Yup, we have seen enough of him running around in shorts to know that 'he's got this'.

LOL. Do you think Jimmy Johnson would allow this approach? How about Parcells?

So what if Zeke Elliott doesn't play this game? Oh, and this is the wrong forum for Jerry sucks threads.

So if you

If Zeke doesn't play in practice games 3-and 4, or plays and struggles, then is expected to start and carry team against two divisional foes when the season starts, I'll be pissed off..He needs to play and earn it. I believe he will, but he doesn't need to be given anything just because of jersey sales...

There's no insult in there. It's just a fact. One looks silly worrying about the health of a young TB and the pounding he will take when one didn't deem that a concern 4 months ago prior to the draft.

Just exactly who established that golden standard?

The same people are training Zeke Elliott, who have been doing it for a few months now. That has nothing to do with moving an excuse up a few rings to vent a fan's type frustration.

Any excuse has a visibility of zero meters, but even the Dallas Cowboys have to work within the restraints of problems on their plates in the present. That doesn't mean stupidity, or non observing fans...to begin with.

No, this isn't a blame it on Jerry Jones time...unless ill defined play is the level one wishes a discussion to remain upon.

So, how many organizations do you claim experience within? Oh, please explain individual developments with all short comings and problems...not everyone else functions on a emotional kick start.

If his hammy is good to go, he needs to play. Is JJ worried because we are playing against Seattle and Zeke might not do well? Is he worried about bad press about our 4th round pick?

None of this applies to the issue. It's not an emotional kick start. It's the reality of the situation. It's funny that one would suddenly care about a young player being exposed to too many hits at a position (TB) that has a high rate of injury and yet three months ago, disregard that concept when it was brought up by other people as a reason to not draft Elliott (or any TB for that matter) high in the draft.

This is what you do. You try to murky the waters with all this randomness and never really address the issue.

First off, this isn't the first rodeo that many of us have been on the Cowboys wagon since they came into existence. I was a College player at the US Air Force Academy, with Ben Martin, who replaced Bill Parcells as the head coach there.

I played, after my first season, at Texas A&I, due to not being pilot qualified, (glasses), and going back to a civilian school.

I have been through four Basics, during my military career, as well as receiving certification and the job of Master Fitness Training while in the Army.

I am well acquainted with the training and conditioning effect to team work...but there is more to the storyline than showing up for game three in the Exhibition Games.

Bill Parcells, for the record, had a standard that all are required to make showing of being able to handle their job slot. But that didn't also mandate periods of rehab for certain players. He was flexible and tried to protect his own players as well.

To the point, if Zeke Elliott shows up in two to three series in this Thursday game...and possibly a quarter in the 4th, fans would watch their 'prized' player to their satisfaction...but I'm not labeling any of the developments as foolish or stupid, for Jason Garrett or Jerry Jones. That's just where facts actually sit.

I really want him to get some reps. However I do not want ANOTHER lingering hamstring injury! I understand Jerrys concern but hes going to have to trust the doctors he employs. If hes held out I hope he can get some burn in game 4.

I guess I took this differently than alot of people here, I took it as he doesnt know because he doesnt know the gameplan, but he has seen enough even if he doesnt play.

Well i ignored the fact RBS are more prone to injury. I mean so what? You are a team set up to run, why not maximize that and take the best all around player in the draft when all you have at the position is DMAC and an underachieving Morris who was recently written off by a team that has Mat fumbling Jones to take his place. Guess what, if they got Ramsey he is now hurt also, and so is Wentz. So whats the point? This is minor at this point. If Jerry want to exercise an abundance of caution with his prize TB, than so be it. The other tail back can start with a larger role while Zeke plays catch up.

Theres a difference in being afraid to have a healthy player on the field and placing a player that is still nursing an injury on the field. You see that right?
