I sometimes wonder if Reid & Mahomes let the other team think what they are doing is working before they start defeating it just so the other team doesn't have time to counter again.

They definitely don't show everything the first half.

Watching Mahomes making side arm and off balance throws is such a breath of fresh air. Dak gets off balance on his throws and his ball skips off the Turf 5 yards from the WR.

Any quality coach could win a SB with Mahomes. Andy Reid is a great coach but he was fired in Philly because the wins weren’t coming due to his QB situation. His last two seasons in Philly he was 8-8 and 4-12.

He’s a difference maker and without him they don’t win. SF outplayed KC in the first half and Mahomes took over in the second half.

sure he can tip the scales, but KC is truly a winning "team". It wasn't just Offense that won them the game. Mahomes only put up 19 in regulation.
And those coaches are the ones who've filled Mahomes' head with what he knows, and designed the schemes and plays, the stuff that allows him to react dynamically and intelligently, under stress.
And of course they run the D that gave him the opportunity to win. He's not superman or John Wick, but he is very good.

KC has great coaching but they don’t see any of these Super Bowls without Mahomes. He’s the biggest difference maker at the QB position in decades. He completely took over the game in the second half.

Yeah...do not want to down play that Three Time Winning Superbowl who also is a three time Superbowl MVP.
He is a tad special.

Mahomes is amazing, but as good as he is with the average offensive talent around him, he needs great play design to help his guys make plays. Andy Reed dialed up some excellent plays to help Mahomes be successful. On the game winning TD, Reed designed a play that confused the Whiners so bad NO ONE covered the receiver that caught the TD.

Also, KC’s defense held the Whiners 6-7 points below their scoring average. If the Whiners get the Ist down late in the 4th quarter on 3rd and 4 the game is practically over.

There wasn’t anything that great about the Chiefs this season, which is why they were underdogs throughout the playoffs and Super Bowl. They’re just another good team without Mahomes. He’s the reason they’ve become a dynasty. Jerry thought he could win with any head coach because he had such a great team. He went on to win a Super Bowl with Barry Switzer with the same team.

Philly had some terrific teams in the early 2000s with TO. Reid lost in his only SB appearance in Philly. If he had a Mahomes he wins that SB.

The Whiners had more overall talent by far, but KC out coached them. On the TD by KC, the Whiners D was so confused by Andy Reed’s play design, no one even covered the receiver who caught the TD!

Jerry is afraid that BB would take the media spotlight away from him. He's not going to have any of that. If anyone feels the need to create a list of the reasons why MM was brought back for another season, this will be at the top of the list. MM doesn't pose a threat to take media attention away from Jerry.

Well if that is the case, jerry and his cowboys will never play in a SB.

Of course you can never down play Mahome’s importance to the Chiefs. That would be stupid! BUT coaching matters AND the Chiefs have it in spades.

Andy Reed is arguably the best OC in football AND Steve Spagnola is the best DC with a job( see Belichick). Spagnola is the reason I picked the Chiefs. He is the most under rated DC in football. When KC had to have plays, late in the game, to force the Whiners to kick FG’s Spagnola dialed up excellently designed plays. He put his players in good position to make plays.

If I was Jerry, I would give Spagnola a call. Offer him the assistant HCing job and DC job. Spagnola is a DIFFERENCE maker.

Also, this Superbowl again proved defense is not dead in the NFL. I wish we would go all in on our Defense. My 1st move in FA! Go after Chris Jones.
