Coaching Staffs lack of confidence in Dak handcuffing him

The Coaching staff is showing zero confidence in Dak putting out vanilla game plans that are stifling Daks ability to preform. They are not asking Dak to win rather don't loose. In the meantime they are now 2 for 25 on third down the last 2 games. Dak has not thrown for more than 200 yards in last two games and has only two 300 yrd games this season. The game plans look like a coaching staff with a game manager and a top ten defense except this is not a top ten defense. If you have such a lack of confidence in Dak then play Romo or simply take Daks handcuffs off. The dismal lack of offensive production lies at the feet of a coaching playing not to loose. I blame Garrett n Linehan. Take the cuffs off let Dak play.

You dont get the cuffs taken off, when you throw a prayer to the middle of the field into double coverage. If anything the cuffs get tighter.

The relief routes when the rushes are dialed up, are being jumped upon by strong defenses. There is some validity to this...

One might also question why it was necessary to go for like 20 yards on third down, as well...

With 11 wins in 13 games I'd say the coaching staff has done pretty well, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt to get things moving forward again.

If they start taking advice from the arm chair coaches here, then I'll get concerned.

It's fine to attempt a discussion on what is working and not working without going on crusades, for/against a player, as well...

and for some, that goes double for poster assassination attempts for discussing.

Dak played poorly against the Giants.

But the repetitiveness of the play-calling on first and second down isn't lost on me and it apparently isn't lost on defensive coordinators because opposing defenses are selling out to stop the run on 1st and 2nd down.

Well, when you call a pitch on 3rd and 11 with the game on the line, you have to wonder what is going on.

Clearly, the coaching staff had no confidence in him at that point. Obviously, they were going for a quick three and out from the defensive side, and a hope for a break in field position via a return or a reboot on downs and someone making a play.

In 2014, what percentage of our plays were runs on first down?

If that is the case then you simply open up the offense n let Dak throw the ball down field more but they are not doing that which is my point.

Dak's handcuffs are self-inflicted. He holds the ball forever. He's a rookie. That's what they do.

It's not a case of throwing every down... It's a case of becoming less predictable on 1st & 2nd downs.

He can throw the ball downfield anytime he wants to. Receivers are down there. It's up to him.

Please learn something about playcalling. Coaches don't decide where the QB throws the ball. The QB does.

Well if you cut half of the playbook out for fear of player's possible mistakes, then why the hell is he starting over a guy that knows the offense like the back of his hands and has much more experience and statistical superiority?
