Coaching Staffs lack of confidence in Dak handcuffing him

It's not hand cuffs it's training wheels, and yes he's not ready for them to come off.

The training wheels should come off or Romo plays. These play it safe game plans are not going to work moving forward. Have some confidence in the kid. Sure he's going to throw some picks but he's also going to hit a few and loosen up these defenses. We have become extra-conservitive last three games results are poor so you go in a different direction. This defence is not and I say NOT going to continue to hold the opposition to low totals with very little pass rush. To win it all your going to have to put points up. Brady would destroy us. Take the handcuffs off of Dak or play Romo. But have the balls to make a decision. It's not fair to Dak or the team to throw Dak under the bus so you can insert Romo. Dak is ready to play without training wheels or you sit him. Give him the green light to look for one on one matchups and throw the ball vertically down the field on first and second down. Only way you get these guys out of the box.

The Coaching staff is showing zero confidence in Dak putting out vanilla game plans that are stifling Daks ability to preform. They are not asking Dak to win rather don't loose. In the meantime they are now 2 for 25 on third down the last 2 games. Dak has not thrown for more than 200 yards in last two games and has only two 300 yrd games this season. The game plans look like a coaching staff with a game manager and a top ten defense except this is not a top ten defense. If you have such a lack of confidence in Dak then play Romo or simply take Daks handcuffs off. The dismal lack of offensive production lies at the feet of a coaching playing not to loose. I blame Garrett n Linehan. Take the cuffs off let Dak play.
I don't think they're handcuffing him. I think the following things are combining to create a negative trend. Let me also say that I have full confidence these things will be corrected before the Tampa game.

1. Linehan's brain is tightening up. Like they demand from the players, he needs to loosen up as well and stay creative with his game plans.

2. Dak had a not so normal game against a really good playoff caliber defense. Every new QB goes through what he's going through and I like him to figure things out as we step through the rest of the season before the playoffs.

3. Dak's receivers (primarily Dez) are not helping him out by running crisp routes and finishing plays. I think Dez will hear enough low level chatter this week to kick him in gear.

Dak is lamb being led to slaughter. They don't have the balls to just come out n say they simply believe Romo gives them a better chance to be successful. So they are handcuffing him as an excuse to play Romo. They fear a media and fan backlash. So they are are going to sacrice Dak for the good of the team. If they really planned to go the distance with Dak they would give him the green light to look for 1 on 1 matchups and attack the field vertically on 1 and 2 down. But you will not see that next week. They will continue to " play it safe". Allowing other teams to stack the box on 1st and 2nd so Dak is forced into 3rd n long so he looks bad. Terrible gutless coaching. Grow some balls.

Exactly they won four games getting no production from Cassel n Weeden. Then Weeden goes to Houston an has some success hense all the pressure on Garrett n Linehan in the off season. Are we supposed to be happy with poor coaching because we won a few more games this year ? Im not, this team should be blowing other teams out. They should be winning by 14 point margins every week. They have a QB with the 3rd highest QBR in league history but are afraid to put him on the field. They have no confidence in Dak calling toss sweeps in a critical 3rd n 11. Lol that's pathetic.

actually not. Dak has to make some plays and he didn't. he was off. his accuracy was bad. he was 7-21 from the pocket and he had time to throw on those. its the 3rd game in a row. its a trend. this is the time of the year, everyone lifts their play, sense of urgency goes up. we are still stuck in the early regular season mode...... Dak needs to pick it up.

Agree 100%, the question is how does management react? Despite all of his undeniably great contributions this year, the season is not solely Dak's development project, it has been a hard fought 53 man effort and those players deserve the chance at attaining what so few NFL players ever achieve in a lifetime.

I suspect they will react the way they did after Sunday nights game.

It's Dak's team. He will start unless he goes down with injury.

I do not believe, at all, that they will waiver from that. As I've said I believe they chose weeks ago that this would be their stance, regardless of what could be lost, because they're banking on the positives for the future outweighing anything they might lose this year.

Not true.. I posted the video..

First of all, the underneath route was open and Dak ignored it.

Second, Dak threw into the center of the field at the safety playing deep and overthrew Dez by a lot. He threw it right to the safety.

Third, Jenkins had inside leverage blocking off any chance of Dez even going to the middle.

Dak didn't throw it to more to the sideline to give Dez a chance.

It wasn't even close to Dez's fault. Absolute blinders caused by Dak love to put that on Dez..

Someone will find a way to dispute the bean footage also

Because if the QB was reading the defense he doesn't make that throw. Dez knew that, everyone knows that. I see people keep blaming Dez for that int. But if you're going to throw a ball up like that know where your single coverage is presnap
Sometimes you have confidence in thinking the guy can make that catch....just like the back shoulder throws. Those can be dangerous throws. ALL QBs throw into double coverage, so don't for one minute think that Dak is the only one. Brady did it last night. Result...interception. You guys need to quit trying to nit pick at what Dak is doing wrong. Have you ever said what he's doing right? You want to blame this one game on him....did you blame him for all 11 wins?
