I don't know about you guys but I think this has to be one of the worst College football seasons in years.

The other day I was watching ESPN and all they could do is talk about how fun college football is to watch this year. I guess because everyone had a chance or something.

Personally I think its pathetic. I dont think any of the best 3 teams in the Nation are going to be playing for a MNC.

Im tired of the media debates and not just having it settled on the field and not letting soft schedules determine National Championship teams.

A playoff in College football is needed. At least 4 teams would work.

The product has just been sloppy and terrible to me this year and the NFL is about to stick its foot on the throat in the next few months I believe.

College football imo got owned this year, and last year.

Its hard to make a case about college football being boring after watching Thursdays NFL games then comparing them to what college football gave us so far this weekend(Nebraska/Colorado definitly interesting; and if you did not get excited watching LSU/Arkansas then check your pulse to see if you are still alive). Now if you are someone who likes neat little packages like two teams going undefeated so they and no one else goes to the NC game then I guess you are in for disapointment. But NO ONE can say this season has been boring- at least no one with a brain, anyway.

Not very often that we agree on things. However this one we do.

This has been a great season of college football.

As you said, if someone watched some of these games and not been excited than they need to check their pulse.

The NFL could only wish they could match the overall excitement of college football..in any year.

I would have to agree... burns me to say that to an Ohio St fan ;)

The long dated rivals, loyalty, pride and friendships with 20,000+ students behind you, playing to get to that next level and the $$$, students who will have a normal job 1 day playing for the love and the fun of the game, and so on.

I love me some NFL but the excitement on Saturday afternoons around the country cannot be matched.

The parody of college football...and basketball for that matter, makes them great. The fact that on any day a #1 could get knocked off is very exciting IMO.

CATCH must be an LSU fan :laugh2:

I like the Cowboys a lot more than college, but i'm not real interested in most games outside our Div. I agree with the poster about the Turkey day games. There are times, like say on a Monday night during a Seattle Arizona game that i'll turn it to a movie or just not watch cause i could care lesss. College on the other hand is very exciting to watch, plus i get to see future NFL prospects and the Draft is a HUGE hobby for me. This season of college ball has been the best i've ever seen.

I've never cared much for college. I can't get into something that doesn't have a real winner. It all seems so meaningless.

their's too much scoring in college. you see scores like 72-56 and crap like that. i'd rather watch a good defensive game. the sad thing is the nfl is becoming like college football with some of these offenses. not to mention all the new nfl rules in favor of offense

The atmosphere in college blows away the NFL, thats for sure. I went to Kyle Field(home of Texas A&M) and it was amazing.

Freudian slip no?? :D

Personally I have never been less interested in the overall state of college football. Some of the games may be exciting, but to think that all of this excitement is going to come down to two teams who 95% of America wouldn't put in their top 2 is the parody.

The NCAA has a great product, too bad they screw it up at the end. With all of these unbelievable finishes, could you imagine if the Top 8 or so settled it on the field? The odds of having 4-5 more unbelievable finishes would be high. As it is, two teams will play one game, and it will probably be a blowout and completely anti-climatic.

I know what you are saying, but on the flip side it has been a great year as the BCS will be suspect no matter who plays in the BCS Championship game...

We are one step closer to a playoff...

Man, what are you talking about? College football has been great this season.
The NFL has been great as usual.
I will agree that we need a playoff system in College, but this has been a great college season.

Strength of schedule should not count against a team, because they have no control over who they have to play.

With that being said, Kansas and Hawaii should have been ranked 1 and 2, and all one loss teams follow them.

I have never been a big college football fan, mainly because my team usually sucks, but I have enjoyed this year. It's good seeing teams like Kansas have a chance at a national championship instead of USC year after year.

That's not true in college football. It's true in the NFL, but college teams choose who they play. They may do it 2-3 years beforehand, but they choose.
