College football vs the NFL

I don't know about you guys but I think this has to be one of the worst College football seasons in years.

The other day I was watching ESPN and all they could do is talk about how fun college football is to watch this year. I guess because everyone had a chance or something.

Personally I think its pathetic. I dont think any of the best 3 teams in the Nation are going to be playing for a MNC.

Im tired of the media debates and not just having it settled on the field and not letting soft schedules determine National Championship teams.

A playoff in College football is needed. At least 4 teams would work.

The product has just been sloppy and terrible to me this year and the NFL is about to stick its foot on the throat in the next few months I believe.

College football imo got owned this year, and last year.

I was just venting in the KU/Miss thread about this

college football is just freaking terrible now...they have nearly ruined what was once the best product ever...the OT system, the instant replay system, all these teams that run this junk spread offense system, the BCS/BS...its just terrible

I have never been a big college football fan, mainly because my team usually sucks, but I have enjoyed this year. It's good seeing teams like Kansas have a chance at a national championship instead of USC year after year.

USC would beat Kansas by 30pts or more

I don't think so...

It would be a very good game...

I really dont think it would be, especially if USC is heathy...they are a vastly more talented team in every area

they'd kill a QB that plays in that kind of system

Booty folds under pressure... I still think it would be a good game...

Eh. Never have really cared much for college football. I don't pay attention to collegiate sports at all really.

Give me pro sports any day and twice on Sundays.

I enjoy watching College football (SEC FTW), but it's not as exciting as the NFL for me because I don't have a favorite college team.

Well, I like CFB, but it looks like you are going to have at least one team back into the title game without even having to play (Ohio State) if Mizzou loses to Oklahoma- though Stoops loves to choke in big games. If things keep going wacky you may have two teams back into it- though anyone else will at least have to play again to get there.

Same here plus i don’t care for some of the rules.

College football in it's worst year, is better than the NFL in it's best (except of course for a Dallas SB win).

It's all matter of taste I suppose.

actuakky, peppie, most college schedules are made out 8-10 years ahead of time, not 2-3. Now and then some changes are made that close, but usually not less then 5-7 years ahead.

College is more fun to watch than the NFL is to me. I just love the college game. The atmosphere is so much better and you really never know what could happen. Who would have thought that all the top 10 teams would continue to lose week after week.

I agree somewhat. IMO they need to dump the overtime format. If you want both teams to have a chance fine just make them kickoff. Starting at the 25 makes it too easy to just kick a FG.

The fine people of LSU and KU send their Holiday wishes to the people of Ohio. :laugh2:

I love college ball. The players play with such intensity, theyre not getting paid, and they want to play. Now I dont like it when a team beats another team by say 30 points or so, but there have been a lot of close games this year. I also love watching Notre Dame suffer.

This season has been exciting to me you dont know whos gonna be #1 from week to week. Just like BB, I love watching college BB and hate watching the pros, I havent watched a pro BB game in years.

And this final thought on college ball, there are too many bowl games, cut that nonsense in half at least.

Oh and since the fold of NFLE, college has once again become a minor league for the NFL just like it should be.

Kansas loses, and LSU loses. Anyone surprised? Im not.

Will Mizzou take advantage of their opportunity now? I doubt it.

College football is like a spinning terd this season. They all stink.

This isn't exciting, its just bad football.

The atmosphere is great and everything but the product on the field is poo.

I dont believe who ever plays for the MYTHICAL National Championship is even the best or even 2nd best team in the nation this season.

The "atmosphere" is something to distract you from the product. If I tried to sell you a "spinning turd" -- as Catch17 would put it -- would you buy it if it had a good atmosphere?

The football is inferior, the athletes are inferior, and the coaches are inferior in college. I don't get caught up in all the pageantry of college football. For me it doesn't overcome the lack of a good product on the field. But then again, I'm not homosexual.
