TRADED Colts trade five-time Pro Bowl CB Stephon Gilmore to the Cowboys for a 5th round pick

Definitely an upgrade. My post was before we knew who the trade was for.
Despite Gilmore’s age, he’s a better option than Anthony Brown who wasn’t playing well last year before he was injured. This trade should improve us at that position.

He almost single handily beat Dallas last year. Former All Pro, former defensive player of the year and we got him for a comp pick.

I guess people would rather have another Matt Waletzko?
Folks just wanna complain... Its 2023... Be Outraged! Cowboys get an All Pro CB that was easily a top 10 CB last year for a 5th round pick and folks still aint happy.. lol

Crazy good pickup, we all saw how our defensive line "looked bad" when brown and lewis went out, now they have extra time to put the pressure on.
Now hopefully Wagner and/or LVE to help the middle with a DT hopefully

Really the only issue anyone should have is the age. Played close to an All Pro level last year. The goal is to get better, and he is better by a wide margin than Brown. Heck he was better that Diggs by a good margin.
He’s got one year left on his contract so very little risk and a cheap price for a top tier CB
What’s not to like?

Jerry finally opened up the pocket book. Gilmore @ $9.92M for one year. The secondary is now complete for 2023.
