lol .. another example of the same ole "... so long as i wear my eye glasses, my alter secret identity is hidden and sealed " ...

So it wasn't just Clark Kent and Diana Princess.

Isis looked so gorgeous, but all she had to do is stand still and make rhymes ..and everything is fixed..... :D
Well, the disguise works better when nobody's ever heard of your superhero identity anyway.

In my opinion, the only Marvel hits (e.g. smartly conceived and translated from comics to screen) prior to the MCU's start with 2008's Iron Man were Blade (1998), Spider-Man (2002), and Spider-Man 2 (2004).

Even though the Punisher with Dolph Lundren was actually Marvels first film from comic book to live film adaptation, it was Blade that set the tone for Marvel movies.
Then later on came Spiderman and the Hulk.

Trivia time!

100% correct that 1989's The Punisher was the first Marvel Entertainment comic book to live film adaptation. The company co-produced the movie with New World Pictures. Three Marvel characters hit the big screen prior to Frank Castle's debut via other movie studios:

Conan The Barbarian (1982)

Red Sonja (1985)

Howard The Duck (1986)

Now, I am willingly volunteering to be blasted in the face with the Power Cosmic for even mentioning Red Sonja and especially Howard The Duck. :( :D

Marvel Studios receives zero blame for Howard The Duck. That fiasco was the brainchild of Universal Pictures and, get this, LUCASFILM! Yep. George Lucas was an executive producer for that nonsense.

Will Ms. Marvel Ever Become An Avenger?
By Marcelo Leite | Screen Rant
June 12, 2022

Will-Ms-Marvel-Ever-Become-An-Avenger-.jpg

Almost nine years after her comic book debut, Kamala Khan has joined the MCU in the Ms. Marvel series – but will she join the Avengers? As the Marvel comics were seeking new, modern takes on classic heroes as well as the next generation of legacy characters, the All-New, All-Different Marvel publishing line saw new faces taking the spotlight, and from then on, Ms. Marvel became a key character in the Marvel universe. In a similar context, the MCU is in a moment of transition following the closing chapter that was Avengers: Endgame, in which new heroes, including Ms. Marvel, are becoming the focus of movies and TV shows.

Despite the major changes in Ms. Marvel's powers, which now involve energy constructs rather than the stretching abilities, the Ms. Marvel show is trying to replicate all the things that made Kamala a unique character now in live-action. Kamala's love for superheroes, especially Captain Marvel, was the starting point for Kamala's journey in the comics – and it is already present in the Ms. Marvel show. The AvengerCon in Ms. Marvel episode 1 summarizes the importance that those heroes have for Kamala, and it also foreshadows what the future holds for Ms. Marvel.

Doctor Strange 2's Julian Hillard Reveals Future Young Avengers Hopes (Exclusive)
By Richard Nebens | The Direct
June 12, 2022

julian-hilard-young-avengers.jpg

Throughout Phase 4 of the MCU, Marvel Studios hasn't shied away from the fact that this franchise will boast a version of the Young Avengers from Marvel Comics in the future. This started in the new slate's first project with Julian Hilliard and Jett Klyne as the Maximoff twins in WandaVision, and that trend continues through the most recent movie to be released - Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has all but confirmed that the Young Avengers will be a part of the story in due time, although the specifics for their first assembly are still unknown. Along with the aforementioned magical/Multiversal entries, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier introduced the Patriot, Loki brought the first action for Kid Loki, Hawkeye held Kate Bishop's origin story, and Ms. Marvel is currently shining a light on Kamala Khan.

Warner Bros. Discovery is adding pressure on J.J. Abrams to deliver the goods
By Andre Farquharson | Bam! Smack! Pow!
June 12, 2022

Things are not looking too good for J.J. Abrams according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter discussing projects being developed at the newly-merged Warner Bros. Discovery, the DC-related properties under the watchful eye of CEO David Zaslav, has yet to see anything come to light.

It is safe to say that Abrams and his production company, Bad Robot Productions, which he oversees with his partner and wife, Katie McGrath, are being given a lot more pressure to have a number of DC projects come to fruition.

Bad Robot has multiple projects under DC’s line up such as the animated series Batman: Caped Crusader, live-action shows with the likes of Constantine, Madame X, and a Zatanna film scripted by Emerald Fennell. This is not even going against the grain, compared to the Ta-Nehisi Coates penned Superman reboot.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Crew Teases Potential Changes To Namor's Origin Story
By Asiya Robinson | Game Rant
June 12, 2022

Black-Panther-Wakanda-Forever-Namor-Origin.jpg

After many delays, the production of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever finished shooting during the spring. While the film has had a lot of the information under wraps, the sequels crew might’ve just teased a major change to Namor in the upcoming film.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to reveal who will carry the torch now that King T'Challa has been laid to rest following the passing of actor Chadwick Boseman, who portrayed the character in the first film. In addition to who will carry Wakanda, the film is also set to be the Marvel Cinematic Universe's debut of the character Namor the Submariner, who is rumored to be portrayed by actor Tenoch Huerta.

The Black Panther 2 crew recently revealed some wrap gifts they received that hint at the changes that may come to Namor's origin in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The images depict a hat and sweatshirt, and on the hat is a colorful image of what seems to be Tepeyollotl, an Aztec jaguar god. This graphic further instills the rumor that's been circulating that Namor will have a Central American origin. This speculation began when the decision to cast Huerta was made, considering he is a Mexican actor, and the promo art showed references to Mesoamerican culture.

Rumors for the new Black Panther lead role ?

- Letitia Michelle Wright - as Shuri; T' Challa's sister
- Winston Duke as M' Baku
- Daniel Kaluuya as W' Kabi

i dunno yet how i'd feel about the Black Panther being a female lead role ,.. especially since lead female superhero usually don't turn out that well.
Wonder Woman, Black Widow and Capt Marvel (we know why this one happened) being exceptions

Two episodes??? Where did you watch the second episode? I do not see it on my Disney+ yet.

The metrics, I often refer to, are varied so far:

A good friend of mine told me something similar to what you said. I do not know. It has been a better watch for me through one episode than the first episode of Moon Knight so far. It sticks to the source material.

I am enjoying it. Then again, people have told me they thought Avatar: The Last Airbender was kiddish and that is flat-out one of the best American-style anime in my opinion.

Edit: Changing my original statement to "sticks close to the source material." The character's entire switch from stretching abilities to *cosmic* energy projections is totally new. It makes me wonder if the change was partially made for the present series to differentiate her abilities with the future introduction of Mr. Fantastic and his stretching ability?

It is pure speculation on my part but I doubt there will be an New York City scenes. I would expect underwater sequences since personal and vehicular Wakandan technology is equipped for that environment.
