Ryan Reynolds Feared Making the First Deadpool Movie
By Abhishek Sharma | MovieWeb
August 28, 2022

Reynolds_Deadpool_2015_20th_Century_Fox.jpg

Ryan Reynolds has shared the concerns that troubled him while making the first Deadpool movie. Though Deadpool was a huge hit and gave Reynolds a life-changing opportunity in his career, his early stint with the character had kept him in doubt about the film.

Deadpool wasn’t Ryan Reynolds’ first attempt at playing Marvel Comics character, Wade Wilson. He appeared alongside Hugh Jackman and Liev Schreiber in the X-Men Trilogy prequel, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The film, however, was heavily panned by critics for several aspects, and much of the disappointment from fans was aimed at Ryan Reynolds’ portrayal of Deadpool. The film revamped Deadpool to fit the movie and removed vital character traits depicted in the comics. X-Men Origins’ Deadpool wasn’t humorous, his representation wasn’t accurate to the source, and he didn’t break the fourth wall. To add up to the disaster, they stitched his mouth even though his ‘Merc with a Mouth’ attitude was what made him famous.

Ryan Reynolds did his homework. On the other hand, the X-Men Origins: Wolverine director should have tore up the screenplay he was handed and demanded a re-write. Reynolds did not have anything to worry about as far as his movie Deadpool was concerned.

Green Lantern though...

Marvel: Every Major Hulk Color, Explained
By Jake Fillery | GameRant
August 29, 2022

AA11f1Yw.img

With 60 years and a whole lot of smashing, the mythos and lore behind the Incredible Hulk get bigger and meaner with each new comic. The Incredible Hulk was introduced to audiences in March 1962 when Stan Lee and Jack Kirby gave the character his first comic book issue. Since then, the green and mean threat has had quite the adventures, as well as a few interesting color changes.

Not all Hulks are green, and even the most iconic of the Hulks, Bruce Banner, does not always stay in his bold green color. There have been many different Hulks in the comic books, with some being vastly different colors. This is thanks to the infinite creativity and weirdness that can exist within Marvel Comics.

7 / 7 Green

Hulk

The most famous of the Hulk colors can be explained by the often depicted rendition of radiation. In comics and cartoons, green often represents radioactivity, and considering Bruce Banner was infected with harmful gamma radiation, he becomes a gigantic green monster who knows nothing but rage and smashing. Bruce Banner is by far the most famous of the Hulks, but is only one of many to harbor the green color.

This bold green has been worn by the Incredible Hulk, and famously his cousin, Jennifer Walters. Jennifer Walters became She-Hulk after a blood transfusion from Bruce, and debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Disney Plus’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Green is the most iconic Hulk color, and it’s best to keep away from any theoretical physicists that begin to change color.

You know, comics these days read more and more like bad fanfic than the comics we grew up with. A black Hulk that calls himself Kluh (Hulk backward.) Seriously?

Kluh should be the madder he gets, the weaker but smarter he gets.

Of all of the non-traditional Hulks, the most interesting was Joe Fixit. He's less insanely powerful but smarter and cunning, but not Banner level intelligence.

Thunderbolts: What fans need to know about these anti-heroes and their future in the MCU
By Julio Luis Munar | ClutchPoints
August 30, 2022

What-fans-need-to-know-about-Thunderbolts-and-its-future-in-the-MCU.jpeg

3 things you need to know about Thunderbolts and its future in the MCU

3. They’re not heroes

Up to this point, the MCU is filled with larger-than-life characters who go above and beyond to preserve life by all means. Of course, the most prominent among these heroes are the Avengers. Given how they’ve saved the world time and time again, the group founded by Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Thor, Natasha Romanov, Clint Barton, and Bruce Banner is definitely the template for heroism in this universe.

While that may be the case, it won’t be by the time Thunderbolts roll out to end Phase 5. In the comics, this group started out as a bunch of villains who took on new identities to disguise themselves as heroes. Thanks to the Avengers and Fantastic Four missing at this point, these characters took advantage of their absence and become the most prominent superhero team for a while.

Of course, this wasn’t the end goal for a group led by Baron Helmut Zemo, who took on the identity of Citizen V, as he envisioned something more diabolical. Fortunately, the imminent return of the Avengers and Fantastic Four contributed to the eventual revelation to the public that these were not heroes, but established villains in the Marvel Universe.

How The Matrix Inspired Man of Steel's Final Zod Fight Explained
By David Jarmain | Screen Rant
August 30, 2022

Keanu-Reeves-Matrix-Michael-Shannon-Zod-Man-of-Steel.jpg

As the film nears its tenth anniversary, storyboard artist and producer Jay Oliva shares how The Matrix Revolutions inspired Man of Steel's epic final Zod fight sequence. In 2013, Zack Snyder's Man of Steel had a tough job on its hand, being the first DC movie to be released since the worldwide hit The Dark Knight Rises a year before, with Snyder and company having to follow the closure to Christopher Nolan's much-loved and largely grounded Batman trilogy. With the help of Nolan and David S. Goyer, who was a story contributor on The Dark Knight trilogy, Snyder managed to bring the story of Superman up to date with Man of Steel, helping to launch Warner Bros.' DC Extended Universe.

Whilst carrying over a more scientifically grounded approach from Nolan's films with touches such as Superman creating a sonic boom in flight and that flight can be painful for him, Snyder brought in renowned storyboard artist and animation director Oliva to ensure his vision made it well off the ground and into the sky. With it being Oliva's first live-action feature, Man of Steel had several key action sequences that needed mapping out. The most complicated of these was the film's final showdown between Superman (Henry Cavill) and long-time screen nemesis General Zod (Michael Shannon) amidst the toppling skyscrapers of Metropolis.

As audiences continue to look back on the Snyderverse, artist Jay Oliva took to Twitter to share how The Matrix sequels inspired Man of Steel's final Zod fight. Fans have often cited Snyder's own professed love for The Matrix as proof enough of its origin, with Oliva now adding fuel to that fire by addressing both Superman's cinematic past and the influence of anime on crafting those parts of the story. See what Oliva shared below:

5 Actors We'd Love To See Play Wonder Man In The MCU Series
By Bj Colangelo | SlashFilm
August 30, 2022

intro-1661911478.webp

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is continuing to expand in unexpected ways post-"Avengers: Endgame," but few could have predicted one of the next heroes to get a Disney+ adaptation would be Simon Williams aka Wonder Man. The series was announced earlier this summer with "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" and the upcoming "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" director Destin Daniel Cretton attached to executive produce with Andrew Guest ("Community," "Hawkeye," and "30 Rock") serving as the head writer. The series is still in the early stages of production, but it was recently announced that Ben Kingsley would be reprising his role as Trevor Slattery, thereby connecting "Wonder Man" to the story of "Shang-Chi."

As it stands, only Kingsley's casting on the show has been confirmed so far, which leaves the titular character a mystery. Wonder Man is a lesser-known Marvel character created in 1964 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, first introduced as a villain but then later becoming a founding member of the West Coast Avengers. He's yet another son of a billionaire industrialist, as well as a celebrity actor and stuntman. He's a cocky himbo with more money than imaginable, and unearned confidence ripe for comedic greatness.

MCU series have been unafraid to tackle comedy as of late, and with Guest as the head writer, it's safe to assume that "Wonder Man" will be no different. With that in mind, here are 5 actors we'd love to see play the character in the upcoming series.

The first actor listed - Cheyenne Jackson - certainly looks the part. And from what they have listed of his talents, he might make a good choice. I wouldn’t consider any of the others.
