This is how I see the Skins. So OK, but like Dallas nothing special as of yet. Of course my assessment of Dallas and Washington could change drastically.

Washington so far:

Win Home Chicago - A close game that should not have been close. Chicago is not good.

Win Away Dallas - A unlikely win. No matter how unlikely the win, a good win it was.

Win Home Seattle - Good win.

Loss Away Denver - Played well on the road, but in the end lost.

Loss Away Kansas City - Played well on the road again, but in the end lost.

Win Home San Francisco - Killed a team they should have. Excellent win.

I understand a win is a win, but right now I would give the Skins two good wins. One against Dallas on the road and the other killed a team they should have (49ers)

Not impressed, but they could impress with 4-2 or better record the next six games.

Dallas so far:

Win Away San Diego - A good win against a good team on the road.

Loss Home Washington - Had the game, but did not close.

Win Away San Francisco - A win, but should not have been this close.

Loss Away Oakland - A difficult game on the road, but still they should have beat Oakland and did not.

Win Home Philly - A good win. Shoot a great win.

Win Home NY Giants - Tried to give the game away. A game they should win at home. No extra credit here.

Loss Away Seattle - Bad Bad Bad loss. Should not have been, but Dallas again fails to close.

Dallas 2 Impressive wins (San Diego and Philly)
Dallas 2 Games they won that they were supposed to win (San Fran and NY Giants)

Washington 2 Impressive wins (San Fran and Dallas)
Washington 2 Games they won that they were supposed to win (Chicago and Seattle)

The biggest difference is in the losses where Washington has only lost two games against two good teams on the road.

Dallas has lost against one bad team on the road, one good team on the road, and a good team at home.

The win over the 9rs was impressive, no question. However, in all fairness, we did not face a Rookie QB who went 8/16 for 92 yards, 0 TDs, 1 Int and 3 fumbles.

I think that it's all relative. Circumstances were different.

Not only that, their two top CB's were out for the skins. Along with a few more linebackers, and jonas jennings. Not saying that win wasnt impressive, but it was a much different situation.

Just ignore the fact that he has the best passer rating in the NFC throwing 12 TD's and only 2 picks.
Didnt ignore it at all. I saw that. I just dont think its a clear perception of his actual talent and ability to do this in the long run. Guess who was highest rated NFC QB before this week?

and? whats your point? This isnt a cowboys vs Commanders comparison thread. We beat the chargers who beat the patriots, does that make us nfl champs? Commanders are good, but will end up about average. They are not superbowl contenders. they wont make the playoffs. they still need a year or two before that will happen. Brunell is not the long term solution, hes quite injury prone, and I would be shocked to say the least if he were to make it thru the season. I dont consider seattle a hard team, we dominated them defensively, and gave the game away on offense.

I never said that Brunell was the long-term solution. How do you know at this point who is and who isnt superbowl contenders? How do you know they wont make the playoffs. My point is that I knew the Commanders would be better than anyone guessed because they have one of the best defensive coordinators in the league and have played well with half the talent this team has. I knew they would be better because Portis and Brunell are in their second season under Gibbs. I knew that Moss would be successful because he was a top 5 receiver in the weeks that he played with Quincy last year and his numbers went down drastically when old 'noodle arm' came back. I watched all of the games that he and Q played together and he was explosive. Even Fox sports commented on how much more explosive the Jets passing game was with Penny on the sidelines.

If you would, explain to me how do you think the Giants are going to beat the Skins. You're talking about the Giants 31st ranked defense (49er's being 32nd) going against the Skins which are putting up insane yards every week and finally stopped with all the silly turnovers in the redzone. Everyone likes to talk up Eli but most seem to overlook Brunell who honestly is just on fire, he's not throwing up jumpballs but every deep ball is hitting recievers in stride. Then you have Moss who is leading the league in recieving by nearly 100 yards and Portis who's hanging in there with a decent 4.4 ypc.

Unless the Giants pull 2+ more turnovers than the Skins, I can't see how the Giants pull that game out. Oh, Giants D sitting last in the league on 3rd downs on defense at 50%, Skins O sitting 2nd at 46%, just not a good for the Giants.

Well, tell him about then, brother. We couldn't give away the game to the Giants a couple of weeks ago with four turnovers. The Giants only beat the Broncos because Denver's win-streak had run its course.

If we all could "know" who was gonna win the superbowl we'd all be rich. this is my opinion.

Brunell ranks 8th in the NFC.. :bang2: lets give him more than a few easy games before we proclaim him probowler.. he does have the best rating so far, but it will not stay that way for the rest of the season. He has been playing great, but so did Bledsoe for a few weeks.

The link you sent seems to make my point. When you clink on qb rating, Brunell is number one in the nfc,not 8th;his td-to-int ratio is 12-2,whereas Bledsoe's is 12-6;Washington has beaten us head to head and on our field at that;as for schedule they've played Seattle,Denver,Kansas City and Dallas, all teams with winning records, how's that easy;not to mention the fact that they beat Seattle whom we lost to and routed the 9'ers whom we squeaked by.Also, Brunell is not known as a choker, but a gutsy competitor whom I wish we could swap Bledsoe for.

No, but Rattay is a rag arm journeyman whom we made look like Joe Montana until he pulled away from center too quickly at our 2 yard line, thus saving our bacon.

Count me amongst those who think the "reality" is that the Skins are a force to be reckoned with. Give the devil his due.

Weak retort. Just giving the devil his due, more than I can say for you. Fairness and honesty are more important than anything, along with objectivity. If you can't see that they're playing good football, you're blind as a bat. Their only loses are to teams with winning records and by 2 points and 7 points and on the road at that.

2nd half of their schedule isactually tough. They will finally start playing more division games, and start playing real teams that will give them a fight, not a 49ers team ravaged by injuries starting a first year qb.

2 games vs the giants, 2 games vs the eagles, 1 game for us to get revenge. Bucs will beat them. Chargers will beat them, Raiders can easily beat them. Rams will have Bulger back by then, and have a shot to beat them, only easy team left is the cardinals. It's about damn time.

Oct. 30 @ Giants 1:00pm ET FOX / 708
Nov. 6 vs. Eagles 8:30pm ET ESPN
Nov. 13 @ Buccaneers 1:00pm ET FOX / 707
Nov. 20 vs. Raiders 1:00pm ET CBS / 707
Nov. 27 vs. Chargers 1:00pm ET CBS / 711
Dec. 4 @ Rams 4:05pm ET FOX / 716
Dec. 11 @ Cardinals 4:05pm ET FOX / 715
Dec. 18 vs. Cowboys 1:00pm ET FOX / 708
Dec. 24 vs. Giants 1:00pm ET FOX / 713
Jan. 1 @ Eagles

The mighty Washington Commanders, George Bush's favorite team, are all set to go 14-2. No more losses. Guaranteed.

Into the playoffs, and the SB then, and that trophy being held up high by Daniel Snyder.

Skins sure got over on the Jets. You think Herm is ready to trade Laverneus back for Santana Moss yet?

I gave them their due. You on the other hand have been drooling all over skins players this entire thread. If you wanna drool over and praise the rivals go over to the rivals board.
