Well, my complaint about Goodell here has more to do with the inconsistency than anything else. As stated, both Zeke and Reuben were accused of the same offence. Yet, Zeke gets suspended with the standard penalty for which he was accused. Reuben receives merely a fine and a Howler from Goodell. That is rubbish!
But yet none of the owners will step up and say anything. Because they get away with things we won’t.

What did he do?

Edit: I looked it up.... Zeke didn't even get arrested and was slammed with 6 games. I wonder how that jackwagon can justify only a fine when he shafted Zeke the way he did?

Goodell sucks. Almost as much as Garrett.
Depends on who you are and we all know that the NFL has it out for the Dallas Cowboys plain and simple

Ignore the fact that there was more evidence and an arrest etc. implicating Foster possibly did this and ignore his past.

It's likely that not ignoring Foster's past--and especially not ignoring her past--is what kept him from both court and suspension. This same woman admitted under oath that she made up the entire DV story last February and there was evidence of her injuries being caused by a serious fight she got in with another woman that night, and the fight was caught on video. The judge in the case said the only reason he wasn't sentencing her to jail time was because he thought doing so would harm real victims of DV from coming forward. And this is after she had already done jail time for filing a false DV charge against a different boyfriend before Foster.

And there wasn't any evidence of anything in this latest claim by the same woman...a small scratch was seen on her left collarbone by the police, but she claimed she was slapped on the right side of her face. That's it. Foster has no actual history of DV or hitting/abusing a woman, he only has a history of being accused of doing so by one woman who seems to have zero problem using false domestic violence accusations and threats of involving the police in her relationships. Neither he nor Zeke should have been suspended, imo, although maybe Foster should have been disciplined for continuing a toxic relationship that seems to always end badly. Maybe if Zeke's accuser had a similar history of false claims against different men and had done jail time for doing so, he may have escaped suspension. But with Goodell who the hell knows lol...

That's a good point. Had Hardy stayed with the Panthers, he probably doesn't get suspended. Yet, he comes here and is suspended. But, that case was confusing a bit. The comparisons between Zeke's case and Reuben's case are most damning.

We shouldn’t even bring up Josh Brown who brutalized his wife for years and acknowledges it but only got one game suspension....until after he got cut from NY and the Punishment for Zeke looked 1000x out of balance at that moment.

I’ll never believe RG doesn’t have it in for us and even more so since Jerry challenged his contract renewal. Guarantee had we signed Foster, he’d be facing an 8 or 16 game suspension.

Your complaint should be everyone's entire argument. Perhaps more people will embrace the same understanding as your own if they could get their minds beyond what the police and courts did or did not do to this player or that player since none of it is mandatory for Goodell's decision-making per the policy.

What!!!??? That's just nurtz! Dude has been trouble from day 1. This will be one bone of contention by the NFLPA in the next CBA, suspensions have no consistency whatsoever. Oh well, let the Skins deal with him

The arrest points I made were merely pointing out the difference in the case. Regardless of arrest, if Zeke got the full 6 for an accusation, then Reuben should too. Otherwise, the league needs to change it's policy.

Ehhh, at this point it's evident that Foster has a real problem with women. It's only a matter of time before he screws up again. He's a top 10 kind of LB when he's on the field, but he ain't going to be on it for long.

Fining game checks in lieu of a suspension is a joke though.

Why do you think he'll be off the field? It's clear Sir Roger is going to let him slide.

Per the policy, any and all arrest points do not factor in Goodell's decision-making. The policy itself must either be re-written more specifically and/or even codified for the commissioner to be forced into applying forms of discipline that are consistent with any legal penalties incurred by each player.

Exactly, that should be how it's written. However, even with the current policy, Foster should be suspended.

When the leagues own investigator recommended that no action be taken due to no evidence and the obvious false statements from the alleged victim and then get suspended?
If nothing happened then why fine him or if it did how do you not suspend him vs Zeke’s treatment?

Are you talking about the Zeke suspension of this case? Because I think the lead investigator in the Zeke case recommended no suspension. Yet, Zeke got slammed with his suspension. So, why should Reuben be treated differently?

That’s exactly what I’m saying.
If anything happened in the arena of domestic violence then the 6 has to apply per the commissioner versus Zeke. So how do you fine in this case, either 6 games or nothing . That would be consistent.

-------And our terrible owner continues to let us bend over and take it year after year.

The only reason he probably keeps doing favors for the league, is because he knows that The Goon will steal his Thanksgiving home game. After the Zeke deal, he should be saying #^*& you to every favor the league asks of him.
