Commanders lose 41-0!

They might have a new offense, but they don't have the Chiefs OL, nor do they have Trent Green running it.

Don't sell the skins short, despite a lackluster preseason they are loaded with superstar talent on offense and defense, and have the best coaching staff money can buy. This team is going to be a force and should be favored to win it all this season. *end sarcasm*.

Mark Brunell still hasn't led Washington to a scoring drive in 11 possessions.

Definately cause for concern...

Very telling  :lmao: :laugh2: :lmao2: :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

Yep, that's it. Play crappy so teams don't take us seriously in the regular season. Reminds me of when I purposely failed a job interview, lived on ramen in a studio apartment with no gas on a dingy mattress so I could come back six months later and absolutely blow them away. Me - 1, Them - 0.

I think our fellow Skins board members will admit that it isn't the time to scream chicken little and call for Gibbs to be fired, but the way the Skins are playing isn't because Portis is out or that 2% of the playbook is only being utilized. It's simply because the team just isn't playing good football.

On a total unrelated note, please make the Peyton Manning commericals stop, I have money. DirecTV, Gatorade, NFL Mobile, is there anything this guy doesn't hawk?

Too funny

Well, as far as I'm concerned, regardless of how pretty the dress is or how red the lipstick looks like when the Commander fans put it on this pig...remember, it's still just a pig.:p:

Not buying into the excuses...

Tony Romo, preseason stats:

47 attempts, 34 completions, 72.3%... 484 yards, 10.3 yards per attempt... 3 TDs, 1 int... 117.7 quarterback rating...

Jason Campbell, preseason stats:

44 attempts, 23 completions, 52.3%... 258 yards, 5.9 yards per attempt... 0 TDs, 2 ints... 51.1 quarterback rating...

'Nuff said, I think...
Shouldn't the comparison be with Romo's stats in his second preseason?

Vikings will destroy this team of bloated egos and overrated reputations...we quite literally looked like the WORST team in professional football tonight.

This Master Plan sucks. I prefer the one where we lose some preseason games but the starters play great and run things like a well oiled machine. Then we carry over that confidence into the regular season.

I like this gem better. :lmao2:

Saw this quoting a Commanders fan on another board:

Just something I wanted to throw out here to see what you all think. Someone mentioned to me a few years back that the Commanders had had a curse put on them by a native american group protesting the use of the team name "Commander". It was first mentioned after the group's first legal battle over the issue which was I believe around 1993 (after coach Gibbs first go around.) I think we all know how the team performed from '93 til now with the exclusion ** making the playoffs in '99. Now this same group has filed another suit over the same thing but from a different angle. I'm wondering if another curse was used. I don't know if I can believe this or not but how do we explain a team with all this talent, with the amazing coaching staff we have, how can they be dominated over as badly as they were tonight?
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
That may be the most beautiful thing ever posted here from there. I wanna believe in that curse. That's how good and pure that is.

You wouldn't like that comparison, either... seriously, you wouldn't, Tony's QBR was somewhere over 90... I'm too lazy to look up the exact numbers right now...

Man, it is getting pretty bad over there. I just hope even in our darkest hour we never appeared to be that pathetic. I almost feel sorry for them.............
:skins: :suxskins: :nana: :dissskin: well almost :)

Can anybody provide me with extremeskins website? I'd love to read their postings; wonder how many of them planning to jump off the cliff. Who'd they blame for this loss? Let me guess: it's the ref's prejudice against Skins, Pats only won on trick plays, etc.

My brother's a Commanders fan but he was smart cause he flew out of town Saturday morning and won't be back until middle of the week. Normally we would have called each other to compare the game. I'm sure he's glad not to have seen the game nor to have to discuss it with me.

while I am having as much fun with the 41-0 thumping and seemingly poor preseason the Skins have had as anyone is, you have to remember that in 1991 the Skins had a similar preseason and were pretty poor looking...then they won 14 games and the super bowl

not saying that will happen with this bunch, but its just another reminder of how preseason isnt always a tell-all about a teams chances once the real games start

that said...If I was a Skins fan I'd be pretty worried about this yr

In short, this is a facade, a masterful one at that. One that even allowed for a blocked field goal. Gibbs is weeding out the quitters from the champions, and those that remain will taste the spoils of victory!
:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:
Native American curses vs. masterful facades? Beautiful.

Can't you just hear Gibbs?

"Men I want you to allow this FG to be blocked. Don't you eyeball me boy, I said let the field goal be blocked. It's all part of the master plan.

"We need to be ready to experience every detail of the upcoming season and that means understanding how to overcome blocked field goals. It is vital to our success to learn this lesson men.

"You can do it. Don't let me down. Allow that field goal to be blocked. You'll be a better team for it in the long run.

"It's all part of the masterful facade.

"Okay, who wants Koolaid?"
