Old enough to know 20 year old girls flock to famous guys like its nothing.

Then "famous guys" should know better to put themselves in a stituation where 20 year old's wot' take advantage of them, right?

Again, name some other QB's of late that have gotten accused of rapes like this.

Waiting.

You do realize the difference between a personal conduct policy and commiting a crime, right???

They are not the same thing.

If he wasn't accused of a crime then the conduct policy never pops up.

He clearly doesn't.

Some people think they could get pulled over for drinking in a company vehicle and if they weren't legally drunk they'd still have a job.

If he conducts himself like a person with values and morals, the conduct policy does not pop up.

Get it?

Hey if you guys have so much evidence, and you are so sure he did it, than you need to step up and present your case before big Ben gets off the hook.

You are crossing over the line there, now you are saying that having sex with a 20 year old is not moral, that is a totally different argument.

As for the conduct policy, my problem is that it basically is what Robespierre says it is. I am sure it didn't say sex in bathrooms with 20 year old women is verboten.

But multiple forays into clubs to hit on and have sex with drunk college students is a pattern of unethical behavior. Multiple allegations of sexual misconduct all within the last year is a pattern of unethical if not risky behavior. Big Ben should be punished and he will be. And in my mind he will be forever known as Ben Ruthlessraper.

That isn't what anyone is saying.

He is an employee of the NFL. In case you have not noticed the NFL has taken a dim view on incidents that cast the league, its teams, and its players in a negative light.

For instance you and Catch17 seem to not remember Pacman Jones. What crime was he charged with? Yet he had enough negative press clippings to end up with a year's suspension and another suspension for a fight he was not charged with a crime when he was a Cowboy.

How hard is it really to figure out that the league is telling these guys they are held to a higher standard?

If some rap or rock star does the exact same thing as RuthlessRaper it is not going to have as strong a reaction. Why? Uh simple, there is no rap or rock league. Rappers don't answer to Commissioner Snoop Dog, nor Rockers to Commissioner Ozzy.

RuthlessRaper on the other hand does. He has recently been implicated in a string of off field incidents that are casting a negative light on the NFL, the Steelers, and players who go out to clubs.

Here's a novel idea. If you can't stand the roar of the big guns, don't pull the trigger. He's an idiot to be buying an underage woman alcohol whether he had sex with her, raped her, or simply visited with her all evening. If you don't think that alone can be treated seriously then please go do it and get caught and see how you get treated.

In that regard he is already lucky as can be because they haven't even worried about that aspect of the crime.

What's even more annoying about this crime is the giant cover up that is happening that you and Catch seem to be turning a blind eye to. Why is the investigating officer resigning to avoid dismissal? Why was the security tape used the very next night instead of rotated over a 2 to 4 period as security tapes normally are? Why was the bathroom not sealed off as a potential crime scene as soon as allegations are made? Instead a janitor was allowed to scrub it down with Pine Sol and Clorox. Yes, I believe every club in Georgia is that sanitary all the time.

Why are the Pennsylvania State Police looking into one of their own officers who was acting as RuthlessRaper's bodyguard that night?

None of these trouble you? I suggest your compass is off if not. Something's rotten in Denmark and it is not the NFL Commissioner.

Agreed, anyone who has any inkling of ethics and a moral code should realize that Ruthlessraper is a dirtbag even if he hasn't been convicted of a crime. Especially with the facts and the evidence that has been presented the guy is a rapist that is getting off the hook because of his fame. I mean why else would the policeman that initially contacted Ruthlessraper and had taken pictures with him resigned? In the end there is a difference in some of our moral codes I guess.....

Anybody can be accused of things.

This is where Roger just needs to back off. Until Big Ben gets proven guilty of something he should just back off.

What if this same thing happens to Peyton Manning? Are you going to suspend him just for being accused?

Actually he did back off. Twice already when Big Ben's off the field behavior has resulted in things with Ben. First it was the motorcycle incident and then last year he was accused of sexual assault as well and the Commish did nothing.

This time it's a second accusation of the same thing and it doesn't matter if he actually sexually assualted her he put himself in a position to be accused of such things by the actions he took part in that night. With that he clearly violated the leagues conduct policy and thus should be suspended.

Pretty simply really.

I dont buy this. It doesn't take much to put yourself in position to get into this kind of trouble.

Last time I checked this is America and you are innocent until proven guilty so until all the facts are collected Goodell should just bow out.

Why rush to make this decision? Why put time frames on it?

Actually it obviously takes more than an average amount of trouble to put himself in these positions. There tons of players in the league who manage to not put themselves into this kind of situation, ever, and that includes the ones that go out and party and stuff. Yet Big Ben continues to put himself into positions where he's getting himself into trouble.

The fact is that Goodell isn't even saying, in any way shape or form, that Big Ben actually assualted the woman. He's saying Big Ben has violated the leagues personal conduct policy by placing himself in a situation where he has embarressed himself and the league with his actions.

I don't like Goodell.

all this Goodell love made me a little sick.

I think he is trying too hard too fast to establish his legacy as commisioner.

Actually no that isn't what anyone is saying. No one said he couldn't have sex with a 20 year old who wants to have sex. No one said that at all.

However his choice to do so on a bathroom floor, while a bodyguard watched the door and kept her friends out of the room, where he could then be accused of doing so without her permission is the problem.

he's made himself, and thus the league, look very bad with his piss poor judgement in this situation and it's the second such situation in barely a years time in which his piss poor judgement has allowed his moral character to be called into question.

Big Ben has no one but himself to blame for these idiotic decisions and the suspension he gets for them will be well deserved under the leagues conduct policy.

Going by your values, a player could be on trial for murder. After being found not guilty, he could admit to the murder. He was found not guilty, so therefore he couldn't be suspended.
