2020: It really depends on the candidate the Democrats come up with to run against him. Hillary was such a terrible candidate in 2016.

Also, people are terrible sexists. But it is true, she could have won with a better campaign.

So you long for the days when you could say whatever you pleased regardless of who it offended. Back to a time when people of color appreciated what they had and didn't mouth off. Good old America.
Sentences 1 & 2 are not mutually exclusive there boss. I suspect "people of color" still appreciate what they have.

...and let's be intellectually honest, they've always mouthed off, that's why my ancestors had whips.

There's the racism I've come to expect on this board!

Can someone please explain how this is not "Conduct detrimental to the league'?

I mean...we have a commissioner suspending a player (Elliott) for 6 games for something he didn't do. There was no charges. No conviction. League has filed multiple lawsuits/appeals to see this case through...yet dozens of players are crapping on the United States and the National anthem...and what it stands for. But we have a commissioner that will bad mouth the POTUS? And do nothing to protect the shield from this outlandish political stunt?
I think they know that right now, there is nothing they can do about this movement. However, I fully expect that the 2021 CBA will have some sort of clause forbidding this behavior. It will be something the league wants and I just don't see the union opposing it. They'll want some sort of concession of course, but it isn't a hill to die on.

Good Lord your are ignant
Are we going to have an honest conversation or are you just going to continue "mouthing off". What was racist about what I said. My ancestors were white slave owners. Is that my fault?

"They've always mouthed off."

No, you had whips so you could physically dominate them and rape the women. That's an honest conversation.

It's already against league rules to take a knee during the national anthem. Roger the Clown is just not enforcing it.

Also, if you shouldn't be blamed for your ancestry, then certainly you must support a clear path to citizenship for people whose parents brought them here without documentation as children.

Absolutely honest and they did worse. So where did I stray into racism?

@AbeBeta I'm not fan of how "people of color" have been treated in the past by my ancestors. And hell yes I'm ashamed that this country once support the institution of slavery. But I'm not going to shy away from talking about those things as if they never happened. It's your choice if you do.

In the language you used - clear that many folks would interpret what you said as racist since you gave no context

People are free to interpret anything anyone says to anything, that doesn't make it a valid interpretation. Do you think there was a time when "people of color" didn't speak their mind?

You can help people interpret things with precise and thought out language. Don't feign offense when you fail to be clear

yea, when they would get whipped or abused in a number of other ways, yea, speaking their mind was not at the top of their priorities.
