Congrats to Norv...

I havent done that, not sure if others are. It is what it is. They are in the playoffs and we are not. They are winning playoff games again and we are not. They looked like a better coached team tonight than we have in quite some time.

one has nothing to do with the other.

period.

Every playoff win is a thorn in Jerry's side. Go Norv keep winning.

yep...congrats to Norv...he has done a great job

another postseason win...now 3-1 with the Chargers and was pretty close to getting them in the super bowl last yr...

they are everything we're not right now

And we should have been better then that by now.

Wade was the wrong choice. Only those in denial will say otherwise at this point.

I think the intent of my post was to congratulate Norv for winning a tough game against the league MVP and a very, very good Colts team and wondering if Jerry was questioning his decision to hire Wade. I am not saying Norv would have done well here, as I believe that no coach can do well here when the players know they can go to Jerry and get what they want. When Jerry closes the door to the players and backs his head coach then I think we can start to become a team again. I think Jerry enables this situation we have today because he is too much of a fan and needs to be in the spotlight all the time.

Do I know we'd be winning playoff games if Norv were our coach instead of Wade? No, certainly not.

But I do KNOW our offense would be better than it is now. He has a track record that proves that. He would have been the best thing that could have happened to Romo.

YOU GUESS it would be.

i could guess we're last in the NFL and be just as right.

Rivers threw the ball into the ground at least 6 or 7 times in this game when he had nothing open. Very frustrating to watch drives stall, but it was the smart thing to do. Don't force it and get a turnover and let your punter do his job. These are the things Romo still has to learn.....:(

ok...whatever ice...you believe the guy sux and there's nothing anybody can do to convince you otherwise, even when the proof is in the results.

you don't listen for ****.

i think he's doing well in SD.

that doesn't mean he'd do well everywhere he'd go or he'd have had better success here, washington, or elsewhere.

winning with one org doesn't mean you'll win with them all. it's not that simple.

This time last year, no one was questioning the offensive performance.

Honestly, no one knows how Norv would've coached in Dallas. His prior coaching history was pretty doggone awful. To suggest otherwise, would be some flawed thinking.

The pool of coaching candidates after Parcells were pretty bad...and unfortunately Wade, at the time, was the best of the bunch.

he's got good players, he is now winning

we have good players here, it isnt hard to see that he's almost assuredly be having success here too...

If we are going to play the "The Chargers finished 8-8" game, then lets do this.

Ed Hockuli (don't know how to spell his name), doesn't blow that call.

Now the Chargers are 9-7, just like us.

Next, lets take Dware out of our defense FOR THE WHOLE SEASON. Why? Because the Chargers lost Merriman from the beginning.

Ok, what is Wade's record now?

But the bottom line is, Norv Turner has faced elimination games 5 times this season, and they have won all 5. He faced 3 elimination games in the playoffs last year, and they won 2 of 3, WITH BACKUPS.

Face it, the guy has done a good job.

Its amazing... watching Romo throw INT's in costly games made me REALLY appreciated Rivers and his throwing the ball into the ground.

Funny how things change when you have a different perspective..

you break it down soley for your point of view.

you're kinda the "fan" i'm talking about when i saw we have "soft" fans.

he won how come we don't?

simple out of your own convenience isn't right. it only means YOU need it to be cause you're still in that "anger" phase and any bullet will do.

leave it to a bad cowboys season for someone to FINALLY compliment norv.

name 1 person who's said norv hasn't done a good job?

no one i've seen.

but that doesn't mean what he did there would be repeated here. 2 different worlds you mix for your own need.

And Dallas lost Romo for 3 games and a ton of other injuries. Everyone deals with injuries and nobody has made that an issue in this thread. The point is if the records were similar, 8-8, 9-7, that would NOT have been acceptable in Dallas.

No one has said otherwise. I know that Ice and I have stated that that doesn't mean he would've had similar success in Dallas.

That's hogwash. Dbair complimented Turner BEFORE it was fashionable to do so.

dbair wanted Norv in Dallas instead of Wade..

I thought he was off his rocker then, too.
