Would you guys feel good with the early part of FA if we were to get those guys at a decent price?

Or are there still too many holes to be considered a legit contender?

Between the draft and training camp cuts, we should be able to pick up some more talent there, too.

I, myself, would feel okay with the moves.

I wouldn't be that excited because all of them are descending players. None are as good as they once were. Earl Thomas still plays to an All Pro level, so there is a difference there to me.

I would be much more excited if we took a swing at a front line guy....but for the most part that ship has already sailed.

Would be fine. Just would want a safety to be drafted too cause I don't trust Berry staying healthy.

Cobb was on a 4 year deal that paid 40 Million, after an injury season no team is going to give their #2 WR a raise over 10 Million a season. It was a no-brainer to let him explore the FA market, that isn't really about production. He averaged 68 catches a season for the three years before getting hurt in 2018 and the season before those three, he had 91 catches for 1287 yards.

I'd rather keep Heath as a back up than use a mid round draft pick on a safety.

I would keep Heath for the 3rd Safety and have the drafted guy take over Fraziers role on ST, or rock 5 safeties if all 5 do their roles well.

Frazier and Heath will be UFAs in 2020.
If we were to sign Berry, it probably will be for 1 year, and if he stays healthy and balls out/injured I think he's only here for one year anyways.

Woods is an ufa in 2021.

Which is why I would prefer a safety this year if they are close to the BPA when the Cowboys pick in day 2/3.

If we were to make these along with our other signings and McDowell I see these positions as set:
QB, IOL, OT, slot WR, DE depending on Gregory, and LB.

Would still need a starter at 3T, TE, and SS splitting time with Berry.
Depth needs at RB, YWR, and CB5.

I was just reading that Cobb would be an upgrade from Beasley in the slot and cheaper. Do you agree ?

Cobb definitely has better stats than Beasley over the years and he had more versatility.

At their peaks Cobb was a much more valuable overall player than Beasley.
