Cooper Rush wasn't bad

Cooper Rush wasn't bad, he was awful. What a blockhead.

I hate to break it to America but is Gardner Minshew Or Heineke or Webb guys in the NFCE that much better then what Cooper Rush helped get Dallas out of an abysmal performance opening night .

Go around the NFL what great back up QB’s should JonesTown start collecting ? The bigger question is not # 10 but is # 4 everything JJ is paying for ?

I first thought Cooper Rush had a bad game, but upon closer examination, he held up pretty well. He was accurate and effective vs the Eagles.
His receivers, not so much. Two of Rush’s interceptions were accurately thrown passes in which the receivers had position, but allowed the defenders to swat them out of the way to make a play on the ball. This can't happen in the NFL.
The Cowboys sold the farm to pay an overpriced, inept quarterback a huge salary, and the result is having receivers who are not number 1 caliber.
I hate to say it, but Cee Dee Lamb isn't great. Noah Brown is as close to being a number one as the Cowboys have. CeeDee just doesn't have the physique to hold up in physical games. The Eagles got physical with the Cowboys receivers and won the battles one on one too often.
Add to this missed calls by the refs, and Rush held up better than first thought.
Rush’s third interception was due to him being hit. It would probably have been a touchdown, otherwise.
Hate on him if you like, but this season still has a ways to go. Dak isn't as accurate as Rush, and if last night is any clue, the receivers aren't going to be much help.
3 interceptions is bad. You turn the ball over you lose.

Hmmm, I see my post was deleted after the really angry Cooper Rush fan leeblair wished me a royal F you for pointing out that Dak would start over Rush on every of the 32 NFL teams.

You Dak-Stan’s literally make things up out of thin and. Being down by three with 14 minutes to go isn’t garbage time according to any definition, now Dak being down 30-0 with around 5 minutes to go in the 4th against Denver, only to end the game with 16 pts is the very definition of garbage time.
However when Dak did the same you called it garbage time...or did you forget your rants against Cleveland

You are the very definition of hypocrite.

Aiden Hutchinson vs Tyler Smith .

An interesting match-up to watch for all game as while Tyler Smith has played fairly well, he did have a bad game against Philly and Hutchinson will be coming into the game trying to improve upon a previous 3 sack game performance.

I wish we could NAME NAMES...on people that said tank the season. They won't admit it NOW. Because they are cowards and not real fans.

They think being OH SO VERY objective make them real true in the know enlighten fans.

WE can;t list them. Because of search limitations and forum rules. But...they know who they are...not that it matters to fake fans.

After the Tampa Game, there were multiple posts about the season was over from the beginning, because the FO didn’t get Dak any help. Now they are pretending like Dallas didn’t have defense last year, because they need to carry the argument that Rush is winning because of the defense, as of last years defense wasn’t one of the top-ranked defenses in TOs, while being a top 5 scoring defense.

The one INT wasn’t on Rush. He got hit as he released the ball, arm strength doesn’t matter when you can’t follow through.

Rush has proved himself a solid back up. He just assured himself a 10 year career.

He reminds me of Taylor Heinicke, smart players that maximize their talent but they are lacking a starting QB’s skill set.

It's my contention that Dallas collectively made enough mistakes to lose this game...

on the road
in a hostile environment
against a motivated, undefeated team
in prime time

between the coaching decisions, play calling and BAD penalties you cannot
expect to win that game with a backup QB even if he throws no picks.

I've seen some wild takes on the forum from time to time, but this one has to be top 10.

Rush was hot garbage the bulk of that game and was lucky he didn't throw 5 interceptions.

I saw a post game tweet talking about how the Eagles knew Rush would lock onto his 1st target instead of going through his reads.

Rush is what he is. A serviceable back up QB with a below average arm that gets exposed the longer he plays.

It's not an argument we are winning because of defense. It's a fact.

When your defense and special teams set you up for 9 points and only give up 10, then yes defense won. When they are top 2 in sacks, QB pressure, passing yards, top 10 in average passing yards, and top 10 defense, then yes it's the defense. When the offense ranks 27th I. Scoring, and bottom licking in passing game, then yes it's the offense. When you average less than two TD per game, then yes it's the offense

Now your TMZ mind can't wrap its head around the fact that FO doesn't give a shirt about a disgruntled fan on a forum....you think too highly of yourself, while nobody else cares anything you say.

Take the drama somewhere else. You don't care about cowboys. You want Dak and.cowboys to fail so you can gloat. That's why you 100% disappear when cowboys win with Dak and only show up when he is injured so you can tie your rope to backup QBs anchor and subsequently sink with them

Rush had a 37.7 QB rating.....

He is averaging under 60% completion % this season and has a whopping 5 passing TDs in 5 games.
