Cooper Rush wasn't bad

BTW, Dallas had AT LEAST 9 defensive TDs last year 15 games into the season, which count in the OFFENSIVE PPG total. This doesn’t include the short fields generated by the TOs created by the defense giving the “Dak-led” offense opportunities to score. Dallas had 35 TOs, minus the 9 that resulted in scores.

If you adjust for TOs, Dallas last year drops its position as the “number 1” scoring offense to at least 4 or 5 and if you drop the 8 TDs against the bum Commanders and third-string Eagles, one begins to gage how over-rated this “elite, franchise” QB is. Dak only had a whopping 32 TDs thrown in 15 games, as if these are elite numbers. And they are all against BUM teams anyways.

Facts are, if you run more 12 personnel like they do with Rush, you are limiting the passing game anyways, whether for Dak or Rush. Rush’s scoring was in part, related to the simplified passing schemes and options that one naturally falls under, when you run two TE sets.

I wish we could NAME NAMES...on people that said tank the season. They won't admit it NOW. Because they are cowards and not real fans.

They think being OH SO VERY objective make them real true in the know enlighten fans.

WE can;t list them. Because of search limitations and forum rules. But...they know who they are...not that it matters to fake fans.
Cheap little call out post. Weak stuff. You ever notice that anyone who calls others fake fans are really really fake fans? You trying to cover up what you are by calling others that?

Which is why you cannot evaluate an O or D using points. Extremely inaccurate.

Points is a team stat.

Rush was awful, except for the third quarter when he settled them down.

But can’t wait for Dak to get out there and hear the new lost of excuses regarding how his hand hasn’t healed…
We are all sure you can’t wait. Oh I love this

That 4th down play was dumb. There was some coaching errors that's for sure. But Rush has a terrible day and was a major factor in on the lost. His noodle arm was the reason why we couldn't get the pass offense going.
Which is why arm strength is of extreme importance. You don't have to have a cannon, but you must have enough.

The fans that called for us to tank the season AFTER ONE GAME because they wouldn't support Cooper Rush? Name calling him even?

Yes....I see it as fake fans.

YMMV...you don't have to agree.

Rush played badly. Here's the thing though, Rush can not be the answer at QB and it doesn't mean Dak is either. Dak has had terrible games as well. Worse then how Rush just played. And multiples, just last season alone. Denver, Arizona, Washington at Washington. KC, San Francisco. As I've been saying I don't think Rush is the answer. He's a decent to good backup. Dak's not the answer either. If his career went a non Romo injury happening or him not getting injured in 2020 he wouldn't even be the Cowboys QB right now. The answer is to finally draft a QB in the 1st round.

I'm wondering if the reason he throws so soft is accuracy. If he wings it hard, the accuracy won't be there so he throws a nice soft pass. Just a thought.
I think if that were the reason, we'd see at least a few balls with zip on them, just out of sheer necessity. No, I think he's incapable of throwing with velocity.

The one INT wasn’t on Rush. He got hit as he released the ball, arm strength doesn’t matter when you can’t follow through.

Rush has proved himself a solid back up. He just assured himself a 10 year career.

He reminds me of Taylor Heinicke, smart players that maximize their talent but they are lacking a starting QB’s skill set.
I disagree that he got hit as he was releasing the ball. I haven't watched any replays, but it certainly looked like he just threw it high in an effort to avoid the defender, and then he got hit.

I think that was about 90% of the board, so you can roll the dice and figure it out most the time. Lol

Anyone who thinks Cooper Rush wasn’t bad on Sunday night has very low standards for the QB position. The only time he wasn’t bad was in the third quarter. Other than that it was terrible!

People show there fandom in different ways. Some want to get as far as possible every year, even if it means a worse draft order. Others would rather give up one season in the hopes of bolstering the next few with good draft picks.
Whatever the case, the only "fake fans" are the ones who secretly root for a different team, rather than the Cowboys.

These same people berate the Cowboys for bad/wasted/bust draft picks. Then they wanted to lose for them?

I get it...if it's late in the season. Might play 2-3-4th stringers for assessment...and "accidentally" tank. But from the very first game?

Sorry...not buying it. But whatever.

I said "all right..let's go Coop. Let's do this". you probably laughed at me. Here we are!

It's all good, I'll drop it. Have a good day!

Draft one like Manziel? Or Paxton Lynch?

Or they have an agenda to drive....

Going forward:
I predict Dak will be Dak. If the momentum is going in the Cowboys favor, he will have some good stats. The Cowboys will win some easy games.
But Dak will still be Dak. If the momentum is against the Cowboys, Dak will struggle. There will be three-and-outs, errant passes, and opposing teams getting big leads. This is my prediction.
But according to his fans, the Cowboys should easily win out. If they don't, then Dak's fans need to explain why not.

I agree, some are stupid and have knee jerk reactions, but it doesn't make them any less a fan. It just makes them impatient and sometimes idiotic fans.

You accidentally hit on a major point. Dak will win some easy games. There are no "easy" games for Rush. I'm all for upgrading the QB position, but only if we find an actual upgrade, which Rush is not.

Well, then if Rush can go 4-1, beating 3 of the toughest teams in the NFL, according to Dak's fans he should easily win out. He should roll through the playoffs, and the Super Bowl should be a forfeit with the opposing team refusing to be embarrassed by Dak.
So we're going to see.
