Cooper Rush wasn't bad

Rush was better in the 2nd half with back to back TD drives but his 1st half was horrible due in part to his bad throws, a poor OC game plan which saw Dallas running well but went pass happy, and asinine coaches decisions like going for it with a pass on 4th and 1 on your own 30 down by 14.

That 4th down play was dumb. There was some coaching errors that's for sure. But Rush has a terrible day and was a major factor in on the lost. His noodle arm was the reason why we couldn't get the pass offense going.

He didn't settle anyone down. That was garbage time by your definition. Yawn.

You Dak-Stan’s literally make things up out of thin and. Being down by three with 14 minutes to go isn’t garbage time according to any definition, now Dak being down 30-0 with around 5 minutes to go in the 4th against Denver, only to end the game with 16 pts is the very definition of garbage time.

Better than Rush's 80 yards of TOTAL offense for the whole half.

Also, that stat line was almost Rush's total against the Rams last week. Lmao. This goofy QB being propped up by a defense that had yet to give up 20pts a whole game.

I love watching weirdos like you squirm and move the goalposts for your boy wonder.

And yet Rush was up by two scores and controlled the clock against the Rams and Ron. Dak. In his SIX YEAR, with around 100 games played, on the other hand was scoreless until the 4th in the game, trying to put points on the board down 30 against soft zone coverage by Denver..

Not sure your winning an argument here with your comparing the 40 million dollar “franchise” QB to noodle arm Rush.. hell, if Rush had the physical arm, he’d be ten times the QB Dak is….

Facts are, Dak consistently has stretches of bad play year in and year out where he is literally the worse Cowboys player in the field needing the defense to bail him out with TOs in scoring position.

Denver, KC, Arizona he was trash, hell the Saints (defense generated 4 TOs including a pick 6), Commanders first game (defense generated 4 TOs) , where he threw a pick 6 directly to the LB in the 4th, bailed out by the RG in the second giants game when he was Mr. FG despite his defense getting 4 TOs…. Of course the excuse was the ‘injury’, but he was garbsge against the Chargers zone defense too, when the refs took a TD away from SD and favored us for once.

Dude is garbage..

This was a horrible state down read, but it was a trash play call and a comeback route directly into the teeth of the defense.

They ran 2 WRs, not even on the outside against cover 2. The Eagles had MULTIPLE defenders. That’s why it was easy pickings fir the high safety on that side when the DB hit it in the air.

The play action to Elliott in that same side was meant to have them bite, nobody on the defense bit.

There were zero options for Rush to go. As basic as it gets for the defense.

Like what option did Rush have here? ZERO..

He always has the option to not throw it to the other team.

In the second game against the Giants last year, Dak put up 2 TDs because Lewis intercepted the ball and put them at the Giants thirteen. The other time is the Giants went for it on 4th down f”in their own territory when down 15-6. Dak was a walking FG against the 23rd ranked defense and 31st ranked offense.

The guy is the epitome of getting carried throughout his career.

Jesus… Just when you think Lee Blair couldn’t get worse, he hits us with this BS !
:lmao::lmao::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

We don’t have a SB caliber QB on this roster.
Dak isn't, that's for sure.
Cooper may not be, but the Cowboys are better with him than Dak, and he's shown that he's better than Dak after only 6 games.
I think Cooper Rush deserves an opportunity to get better, and the fans deserve not to be stuck with Dak.

No, they aren’t better with Rush in there. Not even close. Disillusionment runs deep on these boards it seems. No GM or Coach in the NFL would start Rush over Dak.

I disagree he let go of the ball well before he was hit you have to get it downfield to the receiver running free it was a 6 if he hits 88 .

This was talked about in the Chiefs game - pressure causes a quicker release. If this stuff impacts Mahomes, I sure as hell don't expect more from Rush. Simple fact is, a play like that reminds you why a player with experience is needed on the left.

I first thought Cooper Rush had a bad game, but upon closer examination, he held up pretty well. He was accurate and effective vs the Eagles.
His receivers, not so much. Two of Rush’s interceptions were accurately thrown passes in which the receivers had position, but allowed the defenders to swat them out of the way to make a play on the ball. This can't happen in the NFL.
The Cowboys sold the farm to pay an overpriced, inept quarterback a huge salary, and the result is having receivers who are not number 1 caliber.
I hate to say it, but Cee Dee Lamb isn't great. Noah Brown is as close to being a number one as the Cowboys have. CeeDee just doesn't have the physique to hold up in physical games. The Eagles got physical with the Cowboys receivers and won the battles one on one too often.
Add to this missed calls by the refs, and Rush held up better than first thought.
Rush’s third interception was due to him being hit. It would probably have been a touchdown, otherwise.
Hate on him if you like, but this season still has a ways to go. Dak isn't as accurate as Rush, and if last night is any clue, the receivers aren't going to be much help.
I wish we could NAME NAMES...on people that said tank the season. They won't admit it NOW. Because they are cowards and not real fans.

They think being OH SO VERY objective make them real true in the know enlighten fans.

WE can;t list them. Because of search limitations and forum rules. But...they know who they are...not that it matters to fake fans.

He played like what he is supposed to do making $98,000.00 a year. We have the savior coming back soon.

Draft a QB early next season and bring in a real FA. Let’s have some QB battles in camp. Neither of these guys are the answer with the current roster. It’s just not gonna happen no matter which one is under center. Add a big DT, replace LVE…then the D is dominate not just real good. The jury is still out on Moore because he doesn’t have much to work with. I stop drinking the koolaid years ago. I see what I see.

Okay, Skip

What was Dak’s rating at half against Denver last year with his whopping 5 completions for 75 yards, while being down like 30-0 well into the 4th?

that is a good point. Fangio defensive scheme Dak definitely looked worst last year against Denver.
