Could a strong finish save McCarthy's job?

Very good question .......... imagine another team making you an offer and Jerry finally decides to make an offer also. What would you do?
I think you bolt cause even if Jethro decided to resign him it would probably only be a 1 year extension.

Even in victory, Dallas seemed disorganized and just bad. McCarthy should have been fired for that 85-yard TD at the end alone.
Why? Lewis got lazy on his depth watch the play again. His entire body language during that play was garbage. Did you want Mike to run out on the field and play DB?

Exactly. Lewis fell asleep. Well said. We can blame alot on Jerry and MM, Zimmer, but that was ALL on Lewis. Too bad , because he played a great gritty game before that. Like you said, I saw the poor body language, then just being lethargic. I new we could still get beat. Glad we brought Turpin along lol. The kid has been great two weeks in a row.

I agree.......not to mention how Jerry was treated this season. I know he's unlikely to any offers but who knows, especially a couple of teams who haven't seen the playoffs in a while. Remember, Quinn was the Commander's 3rd choice....

He tore his hamstrings on the bone........ this says more about you than Dak. Trash him all you want for his on-field play but there's nothing funny about another person ( football player or not ) injuries.
He’s a quitter.

He got offered an out of a horrible season and took it.

No btw, MM won't be back next year. He will walk away. Even if Jerry begged him, he is gone. I can't fathom any scenario where he's here.

What does this have to do with you making fun of his injury? There's a thing called human decency, you should try it.
Because we don't know if he is really injured or not. If he is, why was he on the sideline in street clothes dodging players coming off the field like he was totally fine the next week after the 'serious injury'? Why then was he then seen on the sidelines on crutches when he supposedly just had major surgery and was supposed to be off his feet resting?

Teams have faked injuries throughout the entire history of the NFL. It's nothing new. I have no idea if Dak's 'injury' is fake or not and would never put money on it, but there are certainly many questions coming up about the timing.

Maybe , maybe not .

It’s not like his phone will be ringing off the wall. And our prospects don’t look too promising.

I’m not sold our problems are all coaching related.
I would give it about a 1% chance of happening. This whole season feels like it was a punishment from Jerry on Mike because Jerry didn't want to pay a coach that wasn't here so he was going to do what he could to make him look bad.

Re-signing Dak, not signing any free agents that could have helped him, forcing him to take Zimmer etc...

the only thing i've taken from this season and have mentioned over the past month, is that these guys have never looked like they quit.

from all the skirmishes they've been getting in, ceedee doing everything he could to get back into the game while in obviously terrible pain, to keeping games that should have been blowouts competitive etc, i just felt like they were fighting ... hard, despite the circumstances. i love it personally.

I think even if he wins out, he is going somewhere else (maybe Chicago).

If the Cowboys finish strong, MM will be back, you can bank on it. Because it would probably mean the offense and defense improved and I can see the Jones Klan thinking that they survived the rookie learning curve, the switch to Zimmer, and getting Dak back next year. Another offseason, another draft class. Yep, you better believe they would much rather do that than rolling the dice on another coach and starting over and having to admit they were wrong. This scenario is playing out before your eyes. Utterly predictable. You don't have to agree with it. I believe there are much better HCs out there but none of them would want to work for the Jones Klan, IMO.

We are 1-5 in last six games and we are talking about bringing MM back because of one game or he beats a couple of scrub teams at the end of the season?
