Could a strong finish save McCarthy's job?

Just when we thought this team had quit on him we continued to claw and fight with our best performance in almost 2 months.

So for all of those who feel his tenure is all but over in Dallas , be careful what you wish for. A strong finish with this team could at least get him a 1 year extension.

I know . Winning is more fun. Yesterday was quite fun for a season all but officially over. But if he can coach this deflated roster up then our problem here isn’t coaching.

Perhaps reality will return on Thursday against the hapless Jints but if we are looking ahead we have some winnable games for a 4-7 team with some fight left looking to save their HC’s job.
One win and you take back the abusive ex. LOL…you guys make it easy for Jerry to manipulate you.

Wish-thinking is not thinking…it’s wishing.

Not saying the poster you replied to is "dumb" but this is the exact reason many of us call Cowboys fans the "dumbest" fans in sports. The stadium will probably be full Thursday just because they now think there is hope to go to the Super Bowl. LOL!!

It's why Jerry has that haughty, condescending attitude...he can print money with loyal cheerleaders who will empty their pockets for him.

What does this have to do with you making fun of his injury? There's a thing called human decency, you should try it.
guy is a complete loser and of bad character. He should be banned here. I have no issue with people thinking players aren't good enough or wanting them replaced but made-up personal attacks and lies about players is uncalled for.

mods needs to realize he makes this place dirty and almost unbearable. it should not be tolerated.

Because we don't know if he is really injured or not. If he is, why was he on the sideline in street clothes dodging players coming off the field like he was totally fine the next week after the 'serious injury'? Why then was he then seen on the sidelines on crutches when he supposedly just had major surgery and was supposed to be off his feet resting?

Teams have faked injuries throughout the entire history of the NFL. It's nothing new. I have no idea if Dak's 'injury' is fake or not and would never put money on it, but there are certainly many questions coming up about the timing.

We do know that he’s really injured.

You and others are just ignoring the facts because you want to push an incredibly lame “Dak quit” agenda in order to rile up other posters.

Either we have some of the dumbest people in the world on the forum now or they are some of the worst trolls ever. If they are trolling with this nonsense they should be banned by the mods. If they are dumb, I don't guess it's possible to require an IQ test to join cowboyszone...

So does Dak have a chicken for a doctor? You must be his doctor for you to be so certain he is really injured

...doubt it. Only situation saving MM's job, is miracle.

Im saying, make the playoffs and make deep run.

Very unlikely.

I don't see how. If it does I hope we lose the next 6 games

He tore his hamstrings on the bone........ this says more about you than Dak. Trash him all you want for his on-field play but there's nothing funny about another person ( football player or not ) injuries.
That said, for a guy who was already pretty stiff, he is going to be a statue!

The problem with MM is he wants to be the HC and play caller which I think is a bad thing in today's NFL. His play calling flaws keep happening game after game, not to mention lousy time management skills. As for him keeping his job, I think it's time for a change, players are starting to get too relaxed under him. I know it's been some time since Jimmy Johnson ruled with an iron thumb, but when he was here, he had the perfect blueprints on how to be a Super Bowl winning HC in the NFL. First he knew talent and he never allowed his players to get complacent, which brought out the best in all three phases of his team. This organization needs a Jimmy Johnson type HC to come in and kick some butt and turnover the play calling responsibilities to brilliant minded young gun who wants to make a name for himself.

I hope the Cowboys don't finish strong, they need draft choices at the top of the rounds. MM is gone either way.

The only thing that could save his job is making the playoffs and going on a run during it. Not happening with Rush or Lance

LOL, only in Dallas can fans get excited and start thinking one win will result in a strong finish. This team is still one of the worst teams in the league. There are no “winnable “ games for a piss poor team like this.

They ran into an overconfident team and coach yesterday…. sound familiar?

imagine what will be said after Thursday because i dont think NY will stand for winning a game the rest of the season...they are serious about the #1 pick in the draft.
