Could losing vs Detroit be a blessing in disguise?

Nope losing a 3rd game in a row this late in the season is not a blessing. And then after losing a 3rd straight you’d want to use the last game in DC as a bye week? Call me crazy but I’d rather get some momentum and confidence going before we head into post season.

Nah, you need to go into the playoffs on a high note. Losing three in a row to arguably the three best teams you played all year (and going 1-4 in games against SB contenders) bad juju.

Doesn't matter one way or the other, Dallas is getting bounce in the 1st or 2nd round anyway

Lol, poor baby.
I don't know what that is supposed to mean ..... I am rooting for this team ..... But the fact remains that if they would have taken care of business the last two weeks we would be in first place.

Sorry if that not glitter and rainbow enough for a fan like you.

Are you all more confident playing Seattle at home or Tampa on the road?

Will never root for a loss. Maybe it doesn’t fit the meta narrative of armchair coaches but I just can’t do it

Let me start by saying this:

I want Dallas to beat Detroit Saturday night. Badly.

But let's say we lose.

And let's say Philly beats Arizona the next day to clinch the NFC East.

That means we'd be locked into the 5th seed.

Which means we could treat our Week 18 game at Washington like a "bye week" of sorts, rather than playing that game to win and risking injury to our key starters right before the playoffs.

With our luck, they might even give us the Saturday night game for Wild Card weekend.

If we're being honest with ourselves, it's pretty unlikely the Eagles drop one of their final 2 games (vs Arizona, at NYG). So Dallas winning out will most likely not affect our playoff seeding.

Again: I want to win Saturday and keep the pressure on Philly. Beating good teams helps keep the team's confidence high and I hate the idea of potentially entering the playoffs on a 4-game losing streak.

But at the end of the day, is "confidence entering the playoffs" more important than "being as healthy as possible entering the playoffs"? It's certainly debatable.

Just offering a sliver of a silver lining in case the Lions ruin our NYE weekend.
The way Philly has been playing lately they could lose both games.

Maybe Dak will bless us with some of his famous ill timed interceptions or better yet a game ending slide

No. Plain and simple. Not even debatable. But nice try. ;)

The Giants are not good enough to beat Philly when the Eagles play poorly. And the Cardinals, with two four win teams right behind them are not going to risk not getting Murray a potential super star wide receiver, on a rookie contract, just for a late season win against a playoff bound team. They’ll compete. They won’t overdo it.

Well, I know this is a long shot, but if a slightly banged up SF overlooks the commaders, gets a little more banged up in the game, loses and then gets beat the following week by the rams, we end up the #1 seed if we win our 2 remaining. Yes, yes, yes it is a long shot, but isn't a long shot better than no shot?

The herd is spooked. Usually this is the post we see after the game when you guys are trying to put a positive spin on a game you spent all week telling everyone we would win going away. Kudos to you for getting out in front of it this time.
