Some of us were listening to Norm after a thread was posted this afternoon that Norw was coming on talking Boys. He ended up rambling on about the turd CB from Atlanta and how he'd trade a #1 draft pick for the guy. They did break in and say someone from an ATL radio station called and said Pac was on for 90 minutes. Pac said he wants to come to Dallas. I intend on checking the ticket web site cause at the time they said they'd try and get a trascript of the call.

That's why the guy will never sign with Green Bay. The feature dancer in their best club clocks in at 180....
Green Bay's got the Tuesday early-afternoon dancers all day every day

Some of you guys are funny. Bottom line, if the guy can help out the team bring him onboard.. As we all know we need another solid CB to go along with Newman.. give the guy a chance.

Pacman: I'm changed, ready to play

Suspended Titans CB still interested in going to Dallas

Posted: Thursday March 6, 2008 3:42PM; Updated: Thursday March 6, 2008 3:42PM

ATLANTA (AP) -- Suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones says he has changed the way he conducts himself in public and is ready to play football again.

When and where he will play is still uncertain.

Jones appeared as a guest Thursday on WCNN-AM "The Fan," in Atlanta and said he is still interested in playing for the Dallas Cowboys.

The Titans met with Jones' agents in January and the team is expected to try and trade the cornerback once he is reinstated, which may not be until training camps open in July.

Jones was asked questions about his frequent visits to strip clubs and run-ins with the law. He also discussed horses, bowling and his friendship with Tennessee neighbor and country music legend George Jones.

George Jones and pacman taking the lawnmowers to the strip club or what? That is a strange friendship.

That article, right there, talks about the two issues (one in Georgia and the big one in Las Vegas) that got him suspended in April of 2007.

Then if you read the Clayton piece that runs right down the side of it he mentions the fact that there were conditions to his being allowed back in that he has broken on at least occassions, including being out after midnight and driving around without his license.

At the end of December, or early January, this year he got in trouble with a woman accusing him of having attacked her in a club. She later withdrew the complaint, but again, the fact that he put himself in such a position, when he knows what he's suppose to be doing to get back in the league, shows he's not real smart.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2866310

That story documents where, barely a month after getting his 1 year suspension, where he went out to a nightclub the night before he was to meet with the commish about getting his suspension reduced, or changed. Again...not the smartest guy.

http://www.nflgridirongab.com/2007/12/07/pacmans-legal-troubles-far-from-over/

Another article talking about the stuff surrounding his situation in regards to the nightclub shooting that was one of the things that got him in trouble originionally.

And those are just a few links I found on the things that have gotten him in trouble, and continue to keep him in trouble, by simply typing in his name and looking for just a few moments.

The guy is an idiot, he's trouble, and he deserves nothing better than what he's getting right now.

man theres three factors working against Pacman right now if you believe it or not is up to you.

1 He's black in America
2 He's has a lot of money
3 He's has a history of being in trouble.

Sounds like a money hungry female trying to get a cut of his money. I'm sorry but i'd rather believe pacman than random stripper A who's after money.

So i fail to see the various trouble he's been getting into since he's been suspended.
no thug trash allowed...

If he was a "thug" then why was he able to attend college news flash thugs don't go to college. Do you even know what a thug is ? It's laughable to even consider Pacman a thug. The people around him may be a different but that still isn't him. Is he a thug because he has dreads and wear's white T's. Like honestly it's so hard to get away from the people you grew up with and people try to make it sound easy. Lol maybe some of you guys need to realize what it is really like how quick to judge you guys are is ridic.

You do realize he played a role in some serious violence in a strip club right? You do realize a couple peoples lifes were ruined and that pacman is constantly putting himself in bad situations because he is arrogant and thinks he is a gangster.

To defend that guy is crazy. To want him on your team is mind boggling. Some things to me are more important than winning, and having good guys to root for when you go to the stadium is one. We have 51 good guys on this team, we have owens past attitude towards other players and tanks gangster lifestyle thrown in with the rest. All anyone talks about or focus on is those two. Imagine if we signed pacman, that is all that would get talked about and our team would get labeled as criminals and the good guys would not be able to shake that label and in time would move on.

It makes zero sense to even consider pacman. If for no other reason than he missed an entire season and hasnt worked out with a team or played in ages. Then add in he is ****** when he leaves the facility and can not be trusted, I have no idea why anyone would even consider him an option.

I think I would roll the dice, although this kid makes me far more worried than Tank or T.O. If they do sign him, it has to be an agreement riddled with behaviour clauses and club options for opting out.

Exactly.

Both sides have to enter into the agreement with eyes wide open.

The Cowboys would be taking a chance on a guy who's on his last chance.

I wouldn't give up a high round draft choice to take that chance either - probably a conditional 5th rounder, dependant on his reinstatement.

Give the pick to Tennessee this year and if he isn't reinstated, Tennessee gives the 5th rounder to Dallas in 2009.

And any contract would have behavior clauses, and if permissable under league rules, wording prohibiting the guy from entering a strip club.

I would also strongly encourage dropping the 'Pacman' moniker. That name just means trouble to most people and a change would signify a strong effort for a fresh start.

The guy is only 24 years old and I think it would be shame to write anyone off.

Does it work to the Cowboys' advantage? Most certainly. The risk/reward proposition makes great sense from a salary cap/business perspective.

But it also makes sense for the player. A young man looking to change his life and resurrect his career.

If he's sincere in his commitment to change, good for him. He would get the chance at redemption by playing for his favorite team. It would make for an inspiring story and an example to others.

If he isn't and goes back to his old ways? Cut him immediately - no questions asked. The only thing it costs the team is the 5th round draft pick.

I think the arrangement could be a huge win-win for both sides.

I assume his skills will have significantly diminished being out of the league for two years. It's going to take him awhile to get back up to speed.

Gobble this PacMan: You're not wanted here.

What?

Uh, yes, thugs DO go to college.

I went to a predominantly black college, and we had plenty of thugs. The "New York Crew," "the Philly Crew," "The D.C. Crew."

Yes, thugs are everywhere, even on college campuses.

Do you even know what a thug is ? It's laughable to even consider Pacman a thug. The people around him may be a different but that still isn't him. But a part of "growing up" is coming to the realization that you have to get away from environments and people who are destructive. Apparently, PacMan hasn't realized this. Now maybe it is hard for him to "leave" that environment. If so, then he can work at McDonald's or Burger King. He can have his friends, his environment and his low-paying job too.

As for him being a "thug," few have mentioned his appearance. Rather, they've mentioned the trouble he's gotten into and his irresponsibility with money. "Making it rain" is a rather thugish thing to do.

Oh of course. It has to be cause he's black and has money. I mean that HAS to be it. No way it could have anything to do with the fact that he's stupid enough to CONTINUE to put himself into those situations. How many times does he have to get arrested and/or be questioned over things that happen in his presence? It's 5 times now...will it be his own fault for putting himself in these situation after it happens 10 times? 20?

When does it become time to stop leaning on the crutch of "he's black" and thats why he gets in trouble? I'm sure the lady could have been lying. I have no doubt that is possible. But you know what? That doesn't absolve Pacman from being stupid enough to put himself in that situation. Here's a thought...STOP GOING TO THE PLACES THAT YOU GET IN TROUBLE GOING TO!

Seems pretty cut and dry simple to me.

Because, you know, there has NEVER been any black atheletes who are rich that didn't have these issues just because they were black...oh wait, there have been. Plenty.

The difference? Those guys are smart and don't put themselves in situations to get themselves into trouble where as Pacman is an idiot and doesn't care so he continues to put himself in those situations.

The guy admitted to getting stabbed at a bowling alley once, during the interview they have up at ESPN.com right now where he talks about wanting to play for Dallas.

Really? Stabbed? At a bowling alley? Over what? Knocking too many pins down?

Please. Put your racism BS away. The guy gets in trouble cause he's an idiot and continues to put himself into situations where he can get in trouble and look like an idiot. I feel no sympathy for him and it has nothing to do with the color of his skin.

I don't think Pacman is mature enough for the Cowboys to depend on. I don't want to get into the middle of the season looking for his replacement because of some stupid stunt this clown may pull. There are other option out there without Dallas slumming in the gutter with this moron.

If the man wants to go to a strip club he should be allowed to i don't care im pretty sure he's been to strip clubs where there hasn't been shootings. I can't believe you would blame a man for getting stabbed at a bowling alley. Instead you should look at it as oh life is pretty messed up when you can't even go bowling. So basically you just want this guy to stay in the house since no matter what happens troubles seems to follow. (they could have been trying to rob him or he could have started a fight who knows but to blame a man for getting stabbed without knowing the full details of the situation is ignorant.)

Your right theres plenty of black athletes that don't have that issue the same way they are plenty of black athletes that do have that issue. What I am saying once he was labeled as a trouble maker or what ever he will get more attention and people will go after him more. Whether it be the media, cops, or random people try to get a court settlement.

Race has a factor in every aspect of American life to say it doesn't play a factor in this is ridiculous.

It's like the man has to be confined to a glass jar in order for you to be content with him. Has some of the things he done been stupid yes do the people he hang around bring him down yes. However he is still young and he will still have to learn this things. For you to try to sit there and act all high and mighty and holier than though is ridiculous. Everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect.

5 arrest zero convictions he can't be that bad. Being questioned by the police makes him guilty of absolutley nothing
