MM will be back. Why else deny that request. If they were still undecided. They should not stand in his way to interview elsewhere.

Because they can hold all the cards and make Mike twist in the wind while they interview other candidates. Meanwhile the Bears have to hurry up and grab a top candidate before they are all gone. At the end of it all, Mike could very well be left with no job and no openings if Jerry goes with someone else and in Jerry fashion announces it the day Mike's contract ends.

As you may have seen me mention before...he's a miserable sack of spit of a human being.

The Cowboys denied is the request, doesn't mean that McCarthy wants to be here. I'd say given that he is listed as one of the lowest paid HC's he and his agent should demand a big increase in salary. Hell Jerry had no problem paying Prescott and that dude in year 10 is still working on fundamentals.
