I hate the band wagon fans. Always have.

That said, no one on here fits that description. Those here are not on a band wagon which means only backing a winner. They love this team but are frustrated and speaking their minds.

Nothing wrong with that. I do wish some of these so-called realists had the sack to tell us who the best teams are but they never do. They simply point at the Cowboys flaws and scream "I told you so." They never predict anything but doom and proclaim brilliance.
Really? I think it's clear the at this moment, Giants, Saints, Vikings, 49ers, Bears and Eagles are better.

Eagles have been better the entire decade. The Giants beat the Boys when it counted.

Huh?

I didn't know this was an issue. Didn't realize people couldn't look at the standings themselves and figure it out, or look to see who has been winning in the playoffs the last few years.

You really need someone to point out the best teams for you?

And as for the Cowboys, this is a Cowboys board so I would presume that most talk here would center on the Cowboys. And in case some haven't been paying attention, their play hasn't been that spectacular over the last dozen or so years, hence why many posts probably reflect that.

I should have said, prior to the season. I didn't make that clear enough. My ride to work was honking.

Gotcha.

I may have missed it, but I don't recall anyone asking for people to list who they thought would be the best teams, unless it was in the NFL Zone which I don't read often.

yeah, that must be it. Forget the fact they haven't even won a playoff game since the '96 season. We should be satisfied that we aren't Buffalo who hasn't won a playoff game since '95. Good point.

Did I say that? Good grief. Grow up.

You know as well as I do that one playoff win isn't going to get you off Jerry's sack.

Those who make non stop negative comments don't do anything else. For them football is about griping about something. There's no interest whatsoever in anything but griping because the team is not perfect. It gets to be a drone that is tiresome to read.

I honestly would not care about all the negative talk nor the positive talk if it wasn't so laced in hyperbole. There are some posters simply not worth taking seriously. I don't even remember who it was but one guy swears we are closer to 0-4 than 4-0. That is nothing but plain nonsense, but would you or any of your anti-homers cronies ever point it out? Hell no you wouldn't and we all know it. The more negative said about the team the better.

Me, I just want to talk football.

You said: "anything short of winning the Super Bowl will be perceived as a failure. When that perception becomes your reality, you're rarely going to be satisfied."

I'm just pointing out it has nothing to do with just not winning the Super Bowl, because this team hasn't even won a playoff game in 13 years. Yet despite that, you and others seem to act no one should be calling Jerry out on this.

It has everything to do with winning the Super Bowl this year. My guess is that even if this team wins one or two playoff games this season, if we don't win the Super Bowl, you're still going to ***** about your man crush Jerry. You'll deny it, but I know better. You would still cry about not getting it done this year and for the past 13 years of failure. So yeah, that perception is your reality.

Forget it. I should know better than to expect you to discuss anything rationally.

Oh that's it. The team isn't perfect so people gripe? Sorry, but no one is expecting perfection, because it doesn't exist.

So now it's not about what I say or don't say, it's about whether or not I call out someone else for what they say? Are you serious? Sorry, but I'm not going to run around the board calling out everyone who says something I think is dumb. I dare you to show me where I said we were closer to 0-4, or where I agreed with anyone who said that.

As for talking football, I think just about every topic on this board is football and Cowboy related. The politics board has been shut down and I don't see a lot of baseball, basketball, racing or any other sport being discussed on the Fan or Daily Zone. Not real sure what you are referring to with that statement, since I think most are on here to talk Cowboys and football.

At the end of the day

were all human, and most of us are stubborn and stuck in our ways, so for anyone, fan or not, to come up, and explain why "we shouldn't be complaining" or "you all only complain when Romo is bad, but when hes good, you are on his sack" its the way people are....things will never change, are they being fake? yes...

but thats life...its easy to sit your fat/lame/bum *** behind the computer, or tv screen and criticize

so at the end of the day, they make millions, and don't know any of us, who are here crying like women, who cant do half the **** they do...lol

its life

If you want to talk rationally, then you should start. You go on about Super Bowls, when the fact is we haven't even won a playoff game in 13 years.

And I find it interesting you act like you know how I would react if we won one or two playoff games this year, when in fact, you have no idea how I'd react because the last time we did so was following the '96 season and none of us were on here.

So please spare me the ridiculous "claims" you're making and then have the nerve to act like you are discussing things rationally. Fact is you're talking out of your ***.

Well, one playoff victory probably isn't enough to save Wade's job this year, so why should the fans be any more generous than Jerry is to his own employees? Also, Jerry is reviled for a whole host of reasons (outspokenness, overexposure, arrogance, appointing himself to positions he bought but didn't earn, etc.), many of which have nothing to do with wins and losses. And those who are loathe to criticize Jerry (they know who they are) are in no position to be demanding praise from the cynics.

What else would you call it when 1 play in a game, or even 1 bad game means someone has no NFL talent? I said I was talking about the hyperbole. Interesting how you ignore that.

Yeah, you never call out ANYONE for the positive things they say about the team do you?

Why lie like that? Does it make you feel tougher or something? Seriously, explain the logic of that to me.

I believe if you look close I said "I don't even remember who it was but one guy swears we are closer to 0-4 than 4-0." So I don't know where you need to worry about me thinking you said it. I said you wouldn't dare call that guy out.

But if someone says we are closer to 4-0 than 0-4 (which is actually true) you'll jump all over it like a fat kid on cake.

I've already tried to explain that in the past. Not my fault it goes right over your head.

I couldn't care less if you praise him or not. I just am not buying that anything less than a Super Bowl victory is going to be perceived as a failure by a large number of fans. And if that's what they're expecting, I'll give their opinions the weight they deserve.

Same here, I have sat at half empty Texas Stadium in the late 80's when things were not going great for the team as in the late 90's. My own feeling support you team in good times and bad don't be a part time fan only around when the team is winning. I hear some of these idiot in the SB years we are great I love the Cowboys but in bad times no where to be found.

Yeah, brutha, and when the Boys are losing they need us more and stuff. . . .

Where did I lie? Does it make you feel tougher for calling someone a liar?

Again, where did I agree with the guy who said we were closer to 0-4? And if I didn't say it, then why bring me in on it? I love the way you throw something out there, don't know who said it, claim what I would or wouldn't do, and have no facts to back it up.

I've already tried to explain that in the past. Not my fault it goes right over your head.

I guess it went over my head, because it sure as heck made no sense nor was it rooted in fact.

Let's cross that bridge when we get to it. And if you don't think that people haven't praised Jerry the owner/businessman/master marketer, then you haven't been paying close attention. Many of us appreciate that guy to death.

No need to cross that bridge, Peplaw can see the future. It's true. He knows stuff that hasn't happened and he'll even tell us what we think. It's uncanny.

Once again, where am I singling YOU out? That's right, nowhere.

Where did I lie? Does it make you feel tougher for calling someone a liar?
It's not a lie? You NEVER call out anyone for being a homer? Ever?

Please tell me you want to put some money on that.

No, but it makes me laugh to see something so ridiculous claimed.

All I said is I don't run around the board calling out everyone who says something dumb. There are tons of things that are said on here that I think are dumb, but I don't call out all of them or even most of them. So where's the lie?
It really isn't that difficult. You will ONLY call out someone if they are positive. Usually with a reminder of 13 years of post season futility, blah blah blah...

Broken record about beating a dead horse.

Again, where did I agree with the guy who said we were closer to 0-4? And if I didn't say it, then why bring me in on it? I love the way you throw something out there, don't know who said it, claim what I would or wouldn't do, and have no facts to back it up.
Are you completely unaware that you started the conversation with me and my first quote was talking about people exactly like that? I mean honestly man, how can that go right over your head? Oh, I know, because once again you get the DCC paranoia rocking your world. It's like a damned infection that pollutes the mind.
