I couldn't care less if you praise him or not. I just am not buying that anything less than a Super Bowl victory is going to be perceived as a failure by a large number of fans. And if that's what they're expecting, I'll give their opinions the weight they deserve.

News flash from Air Cowboys America, from Farmers Branch, trailer-hitch capital of the world and leader in square-dance innovation:
Sorry if expecting a Super Bowl EVER YEAR is a bad thing.

Yew think our dreams of a Super Bowl ever year is dumb?

Well, let me tell you something, mister pessimist.

We are the peeps. Ever day we go to work in the oilfields, the construction sites and dreary offices and crawl spaces. We work in cyberspace, in retail and the Furr's Cafeteria where the elders get their early bird lunches and leave with a smile on their craggy faces because they know they don't have to leave tips.
We labor to live our humble and meaningless lives. Vicariously in the deeds of our footall heroes.
We are the wheat germ farmer and the Vegemite wholesaler. We are the garter belt salesmen who linger at homes . . . .
In short (cue in the "Battle Hymn of the Republic") We is America.

....Well, where was I, oh, (echo chamber effect) We represent an America that is wholesome and nimble and humble and looks forward to Sundays, after confession or at shul, when we can root for our team.

You may think the Super Bowl, to us as we know us, is a stupid thing to hope for ever year. But mister, it aint a stupid thang at all.

Home is the salesman home from the sea and the farmer home from the shore. You in your fancy downtown Dallas parties at the All Club with allmen tossing dollars like they was quarters after bringing in them wells and gas and stuff. You, rubbing shoulders with Gale Storm and Gina Lollabrigida may think you are all high and mighty and think we are stupid and in denial about a Super Bowl. I guess paling around with Richard C. Hottelette and Tony Dow gives you license to talk down to us optometrists who BELIEVE.

:enough: No siriee. We is eternally hopeful and stuff that this year maybe (well, maybe not) but next year with a real gud coach we can climb that Mt. Olympus hill. That we will have another Lombardini Trophy and Landry will smile down from the bathhouse of the parthenon of greats and Jimma, on his casino seat, will tip his glass at us.

Super Bowl ever year, yeah, ("Battle Hymn of the Republic" fades out) but that is our dream!

Yep. All Terrell Owens had to do was keep his mouth shut throughout his contract. He couldn't. He never has. He wants to draw attention to himself. The media has always obeyed his wish. The only problem with that personal philosophy is that you will always get the good with the bad.

Over the years, many people have tried to counsel Owens on avoiding the negative backlash of thinking with a ten cent head. Unfortunately for him, it [strike]seems[/strike] always goes in one ear and out the other. In an age of unprecedented instantaneous communication never before seen in human history, someone would have to be pig stupid to keep repeating the same mistakes as he intentionally does. Poetic justice.

You think he was the only deserving one....nothing he did compared to philly or san fran

Once again, where am I singling YOU out? That's right, nowhere.

Well, in the quote below you singled me out for not calling people out about some 0-4 comment. Why even bring me in on this? Like I said, it's not like I said it so what's your point? You want me to run around the board pointing out every silly thing that's said?

Hostile said:
I don't even remember who it was but one guy swears we are closer to 0-4 than 4-0. That is nothing but plain nonsense, but would you or any of your anti-homers cronies ever point it out?

Hostile said:
It's not a lie? You NEVER call out anyone for being a homer? Ever?

Please tell me you want to put some money on that.

No, but it makes me laugh to see something so ridiculous claimed.

It makes me laugh that you either have no reading comprehension skills or are intentionally lying. I said "I don't go around calling EVERYONE out on every dumb thing that is said." Please show me where I said I've NEVER called anyone out. Otherwise I'll gladly accept your money and apology.

It really isn't that difficult. You will ONLY call out someone if they are positive. Usually with a reminder of 13 years of post season futility, blah blah blah...

Broken record about beating a dead horse.

Are you completely unaware that you started the conversation with me and my first quote was talking about people exactly like that? I mean honestly man, how can that go right over your head? Oh, I know, because once again you get the DCC paranoia rocking your world. It's like a damned infection that pollutes the mind.

The only one who ever brings up another board on here is you. If there's an infection or obsession, you are the sole proprietor.

It's just cause you're so damned predictable.

In your head maybe.

Like I said, you have absolutely no idea how anyone would react to us winning 1 or 2 games in the playoffs seeing how neither you or anyone else was here to witness the last time we did so.

I'm sure people would be initially disappointed at losing short of the Super Bowl, but it would be a huge accomplishment for this team to make the playoffs and advance and it'd show we are getting close and moving in the right direction.

I have seen ball bearings sharper than this.

You are a denizen of that other forum and you bring their crap here. If the shoe fits, wear it.

I'm not talking about "anyone" or "people"... I'm talking about you. You're the most predictable poster on this forum.

At the end of the day

were all human, and most of us are stubborn and stuck in our ways, so for anyone, fan or not, to come up, and explain why "we shouldn't be complaining" or "you all only complain when Romo is bad, but when hes good, you are on his sack" its the way people are....things will never change, are they being fake? yes...

but thats life...its easy to sit your fat/lame/bum *** behind the computer, or tv screen and criticize

so at the end of the day, they make millions, and don't know any of us, who are here crying like women, who cant do half the **** they do...lol

its life

....this!.....

I think the funniest part is we can't do half the **** they do. When you make it to the NFL level you are set for life financially. We complain about all of these Millionaires like they really give a care, they got "theres" we don't that's life true.

Even more reason to complain.:p:

When Dallas was going to Championship games and SuperBowls with Danny White and not winning I'm going to admitt that I was certainly a spoiled fan to complain. Which we did it was VERY frustrating to get just THAT close but I have also come to the rationalization that winning a single Play-Off game is now almost like the SuperBowl....my how times have changed for this Franchise.

It is rather pathetic. And I'm not going to say that just winning a playoff game is all anyone wants, but the fact remains we haven't even been able to that since the end of the '96 season. But at least being able to win a playoff game or 2 and advance would show we've turned the corner and are a contender. But, alas, we still sit and wait while the owner plays GM.

The goal has not changed but to make it to the SB you have to show you can win in the post season. Just because there is a star of the side of the helmet does not mean anything is a given so all this SB or bust crap is non sense. Like any team out there who has gone through down times you try to improve from where you are. Getting to the post season and winning for this team is a big step in the right direction but the end goal is the same winning a SB

The one thing that is a given "just because there is a Star on your helment" is that you play for a disfuctional organization.

The Vikings have a nice team. I like the Coach and the Owner stays out of the way. ... but ... I've been a CBoys fan since the mid 70's on AM Radio no less...how do you shake that?

It's been a long hard road with Jerry Jones and I wanted to believe, it took 12 years to finally understand how fake he really is, oh it's always been obvious he's always been transparent but giving the benefit of the doubt Characterwise and other....now I pretty much hate that puke face!

but the Cowboys I will always love the Cowboys.. after Jerry Jones we all wear Dallas like an albatrose.

It should be easy there is little to nothing you like about this team. Watching the NFL should be something you enjoy and have fun watching and if this team is as crappy as you suggest why bother.
